One thing this game seems to need, which the older Starship Troopers: Terran Ascendancy (2000) had. Was that the soldiers would naturally back up a few meters if the aliens got too close in a semi circle like way that actually made them seem to have some level of self preservation.

Yes this, the troopers AI in that old game was surprisingly well done, Troopers didn’t just stand like robots firing
@naturalbornpatriot63699 күн бұрын
Being able to fire in all directions at once would be nice. A different ability of “huddle up”, and fire in all directions. The new mode is just retarded. It’s just missions with passive income and a tech tree. Then restart on a different map

I enjoyed this one! A nice, classic RTS campaign warms my heart, I grew up on C&C. Also, yeah, Red October had an amazing soundtrack! The main theme is haunting. I had no idea the same composer did Starship Troopers. Great review 👍🏻

very underrated game. you should get at least 100 hours of game play with all the custom missions that people make with the map editor some of witch are fully voiced and better that the original campaign.

I was hoping for base building. But meh, they didn't even really have ground vehicles like tanks in the film so I guess the game works pretty well the way they did it. Little things like flame troops staying in the front of a mixed troop type unit are a nice touch.

Hey dude, not sure if you're aware but the home page of your Channel comes up blank with a message "This channel doesn't have any content". No videos show up unless I click on the Videos tab. Just a heads up!

The book and the movie were very different in their intentions. The book is straight, whereas the movie was made a satire to Subtlety criticize. "The Critical Drinker" did a good review of it recently.

It's dreadful. For a game that looks like it was made in the late 90s it runs like an absolute dog. Bugged as hell. A lot of basic commands dont even function. For free it's not even worth it. Such a shame.

It's ...boring. and all you do is play with a couple infantry. What a disappointment.
@bigbeatmanifesto651710 ай бұрын
It's not boring lol. And commandig armies with how fast the bugs are wouldn't work. Better with smaller squad's and more personal fights but that's just my opinion:)

The game may be relatively light in tactical depth and unit variety (for the first half of the game at least), but the excellent mission design paired with a well-executed charm/atmosphere of the first film more than make up for any shortcomings IMO. I think its a great beginner-friendly RTS game; streamlined combat and unit production, yet the mix of open sandbox levels and tense linear levels will offer a challenge to veterans of the genre.
