For one of your October reviews could you take a look at "The Suffering"? it was a nice game that no one really remembers with some fantastic enemy design and voice acting. Its also fairly inexpensive to get a physical copy on Ebay for around 20$

5:54 The N64 actually has a slightly easier time with untextured models than with 2D sprites. However, they likely chose to do this because they thought it was more impressive to have the pickups be 3D models, rather than for technical reasons. My main evidence for this hunch is that those pickups seem a bit higher-poly than being untextured would compensate for.

It's not "Infogames, but with a 'r' in there for some reason", it's pronounced info-gr-ah-m (French doesn't have the English "ay" sound for the letter "a", like in "games"). It's a portmanteau of "informatique" (computing) and programme (program), but they removed an "m" for some reason.

Personally, I thought the "grame" part came from the suffix relating to charts, like in "histogram" (bar chart) ["histogramme" in French], but Wikipedia corrected me with the *way* more obvious "program" ["programme" in French], duh.

Here in France, Infogrames was known for making game adaptations of french/belgian comics on the super nintendo especially, like tintin, lucky Luke, the smurfs, asterix etc. There were all very beautiful games, very close to the base material, but there were also known for having sadistic game design, cheap deaths, and a very high difficulty because of that, but some of them were good ^^ . I didn't know about this N64 game, i was surprised it seemed to be so poorlymaded with the camera and all, i guess they were experimenting with the 3D :/

I played it for hours before I went to bed that night then caught my flu and had starshot-themed fever dreams all evening. I feel like even without the flu this game was surreal enough to feel unsettling and I never could fully get in to it. I remember getting in to space (?) and not knowing what to do and uninstalling it. The next time I went I bought Deus Ex and never really looked back but all the same I’m glad I picked this gem up. I’ve never met anyone else that has played it so thank you for confirming that this game wasn’t just a 103 degree fever-induced nightmare lol. Edit: watching this now and I can confirm that the camera moving when scaling the diagonal walkways causing you to fall to your death in the outer space level caused me to rage quiet and never come back 😂

Oh my Goodness!!!! THANK YOU NITRORAD!! I played this game such a long time ago as a child. But I could never remember the name of this game and was never able to finish because I played a demo disk. Now I can finally try to find a copy and play it through. Thank you so much dude it means a lot! I would recommend a little game called "Silver" from 1999. I think you will enjoy that too. Most people haven't heard of it due to the popularity in Final Fantasy and other games around that period.

Another one of my list of old platformers I never heard of. "Everybody in this game is an asshole" ah yes, it's French. Tbh that's disappointing that the moveset is so limited, even if the gameplay is more focused on the quests. Why even make it circus themed then? There is so much potential behind having a circus athlete as a main character.

It is a good game! It's weird, though, I always thought it was made by Behaviour/A2M (who also made Scaler and Jersey Devil, but also..Naughty Bear??), since they made the Bugs Lost in Time and Bugs and Taz Time Busters games, but apparently not?

This was the strangest game i played when i was a kid. The alien type creatures, gloomy atmosphere, eerie music, complete confusion. I still remember the feeling when i played this game and i think it will stay with me forever.

I rented this game once as a kid, the second time I booted it up I couldn't leave the hub world, I tried erasing the data and the same thing happened. Even back then I wasn't too bothered because I knew it was jank as hell.

Hey NitroRad! I want to thank you for doing this video! A couple months i was playing ratchet and clank and i had a very clouded memory of another character out of no where because i was looking the way ratchet was running and i couldnt remember what game it was. And this was the game! I remember everything now. I had played starshot on my PC in the 90s. But was a demo of the beach level. Thanks for bring the memories back! P.S you think you can do a video of JazzJackRabbit 2? Now thats a retro game.

If you think that was good, you should see the whole story and previous versions of Kameo: Elements of power. That game had *serious* potential, especially the XBOX version, until they made Rare redo a game that was almost complete, solely to become an Xbox 360 launch game. The game was in development for about 5 years, I think P:

Finally a fair review of this game. It's flawed, yeah, but the writing is genuinely the best you had on N64. It has a dark Douglas Adams vibe to it

Hey, Nitro Rad, I just wanted to make a comment because I finally invested time into getting a YT account. I have been watching you, since you went through the Rayman games I believe, and I have thoroughly enjoyed what you have been uploading, and the quality of what you make since then. Because you have been entertaining and really teaching me and informing me since then. I thought I would at least let you know I am very grateful for all that. I assume you probably read most of you comments, so I hope that you read this.

I remember renting a used copy of this game back in the day and just being stuck on the level the last person who played it made it to because I literally had no idea what I was doing. But back then, I just had fun with anything we ever rented, so it didn't really bother me. Really makes me wish I'd gone back and given it another shot, though, kinda like how I couldn't understand Glover the first time I played it but then rented it again a year later and beat it.
