@victorkreig6089 Жыл бұрын
Nah they do make sense, the problem is that regardless of your persuasion level some options don't work at all depending on what you started the convo with. You're basically playing for a set number of points to be successful and if you over shoot or don't do the right set number combo you fail. The funny thing is you can basically brute force some convos that have a limited number of options like say stacking multiple +1 choices if you pick the right sequence. @dearen7588 Жыл бұрын
@@12ealDealOfficial I don't think the MS acquisition is at fault. Bethesda has been an amusement park of sorts for a while now. You hop on a ride, shut off your brain and have fun for little while. @@dearen7588 „ This looks like the same Bethesda that developed Skyrim and Fallout 4 to me.“ How so? In Skyrim they still managed to get small details in, like NPCs reacting to you approaching with a weapon drawn, running into them, the type of armor/equipment you wear, … They had an absolutely awesome soundtrack, instead of just a good one, and they still knew how to make the core game loop fun and exciting, while the core game loop for Starfield is walking 3-5 minutes through a boring looking place with nothing to discover. Also for Starfield they had ~3x the time and ~4x the people than for Skyrim. Does it feel to you like 12x the amount of work went into Starfield over Skyrim? To me it clearly doesn‘t. Starfield from the setting is clearly the best one to make exploration a focus, which since Morrowind has been Bethesdas strong suit. But somehow Bethesda managed to make exploration worse than in any other game they have released in the past 21 years. So again how does this seem like the same Bethesda to you? When the things they were previously good at are now their weak points.

It is the most ridiculous procgen I've ever seen in a game, because only the planet surfaces are generated, but the buildings, caves etc. are all from a tiny pool of ca. 30 pre-made assets (less than 10 of them take more than 5 minutes to explore) and even safes, loot boxes, skill magazines, clutter, what have you, are in the exact same spots.

My dumb ass folded after watching the good reviews. Yeah this is definitely a "wait til it's $20 and has infinite mods" type game. At least there's like over 10 great games released this year and most are cheaper than Starfield
@CrizzyEyes Жыл бұрын
I lost all interest the moment I saw the gameplay videos of spacemen stiffly shooting each other with P90s. The only two cool parts, the outpost building and the ship building, were a question mark -- outpost building could easily be just as shit as it was in FO4, and ship building was a total unknown. I didn't care at all that they crammed a Freespace clone into the game. Breadth over depth doesn't interest me in games, it's effectively another minigame. So I waited and, lo and behold, only one of the two things I cared about were interesting, and it's not enough to make the game worth buying. I don't know how anyone falls for this any more.

lucky, I couldn't take the constant rubberbanding of the game. Nothing screams excitement like a firefight that halfway through pause for a few seconds, letting you wonder if you'll still be alive when the game catches up to your actions

The reason persuasion is so OP in this game is because Todd is an IRL persuasion build (how else could he convince people to keep buying his games?), which is to say: there was a clear conflict of interest in development.

Easiest way to level up is to find a planet with Iron and Aluminium (Nikola has a planet like that), make an outpost where both intersect, place extractors for both metals, connect them to a transfer storage, place an industrial workbench next to it, and just keep making adaptive frames. They only give 1xp, but when youre making thousands of them at once it adds up. Just wait a day until the extractors farm enough, take them out of storage, turn around to your workbench and spam adaptive frames. Went from like 40 to 90 in 2-3 hours

I really enjoy using the ship builder, it's by far the most satifying of the mechanics in this game. Unfortunatley there are barely any plot relevent space battles to make using it feel rewarding. Even the plotline that has you take a space combat test then just becomes about hunting down alien monsters, the only half decent battle comes at the end of the pirate story.
@ULTRAOutdoorsman Жыл бұрын
Yeah there's, what, the fight at the end of SysDef/Crimson Fleet questline, the one with the Starborn Guardian, the tutorial, the UC Vanguard pilot test, the UC Marines/Freestar distress signal mission, uhhh...? Any other handcrafted quests that actually involve space combat out of this 50-200-hour game?

I've spent literal hours switching between watching videos and building ships, just for me to quit the project after I've fully finished it. Flying to various ship vendors for various parts, just to finish the design at an outpost or a technician, but eventually still giving up because I already own a jack-of-all-trades ship. And even then, the shipbuilding leaves more to be desired, like more Structural items and the ability to rotate them in every direction, the ability to check the insides of the habs, not automatically removing certain items from habs when doors are placed down in certain spots.
