You have to realize they released a garbage technical game, refused refunds, scammed players, fucked up pre-order items and many more. They aren't even ashamed about it unlike Sean. The cost of the bottle itself was a red herring, making the plastic shell vs making a mold for a glass bottle wasn't the issue. I'd bet dollars to donuts that the issue is that a Nuka-shaped glass bottle wouldn't work with the bottling machinery. Modifying the bottling production line for a niche product was surely a non-starter from a cost standpoint... So instead of abandoning this stupid fucking idea of Fallout Rum... they hatched the brilliant plan of a plastic shell + standard glass bottle that works with standard bottling production lines + deceptive marketing.

There's a fundamental difference between can and will. If an indie team of a dozen workers could do it post-launch, then a multi-million dollar triple-A company has no excuse to say it can't. they made one bad game, with COSMETIC microtransaction that people just didnt like. They were just unfortunate that the spotlight was shone on them and they took the brunt of all the hate triple a game devs are getting in 2019. and then obsidian released a trailer for outerworlds so everyone started hating on bethesda even more because for some reason everybody loves obsidian despite them making one good game ever, and that on release had even more bugs than fallout 76. outerworlds is going to flop anyway so i dont really care about that. cdpr then go all the love, again made one good game, and cyberpunk looks god awful. fan boys everywhere just love to jump on bandwagons and hate.
@MrAwsomeshot5 жыл бұрын
no shit... they had one of the most loyal fan bases in all of gaming. The action adventure rpg crowd of skrim and fallout who literally put up with mehhhh quality gameplay because the games had substance and flair. I have never replayed a single player game more than fallouNV (actually obsidian) or skyrim . They should have not tried to make it a big lobby MMO type game and focused on a smaller coop experience that also plays great single player I.E. Borderlands which I played about 3x as much as fallout/skyrim games because it is so much fun with friends. Instead they wanted to emulate GTA to get into the sleezy micro transaction market and now their brand is permanently tarnished.
