i hope he is correct about the tote . the knock on affect of the big off course bookmakers profits going out of racing is slowly strangling racing . less prize money means less people owning horses , less horses in training means less runners per race , less horses in race means harder for your horse to drop in handicap ( how do you handicap a 120 hurdler beaten 10 lengths into 2nd by a 150 winning in a canter in a 3 horse race , much easier to rate it if there are 12 runners and the winner has to actually show its ability ) . if everyone started using tote instead of other bookies 10 years from now southwell could be holding a challenge to the breeders cup series , apart from he weather of course lol

On Betfair there’s 3 options on rewards. You get different bonuses on the sports book which alter the commission you pay on the exchange. So you can pay either 8% 5% or 2% commission

Lost his money trying to save greyhound racing. Invested £2M in Coventry race track. That’s where he did his dough. May well be an addict but he’s a winning addict. Poor Business acumen let him down, not gambling.

@@hadleigh55 the track was closed for 2 years, Harry came in and opened it all back up payed for the facilities to be fixed back up, payed all the day to day costs of running the track, started investing in putting a tv package together to get greyhound racing on tv, but that didn’t work out then the landlord who said he’ll lease him the track for free then asked for £500,000
