My plan was to apply for a EB2 NIW visa since I`ve been told that most CROs and Pharmas do not offer work visas anymore. Is it true? you don't necessarily need a degree beyond a bachelors degree to get a job in clinical research here in the USA. The most important thing is to have your green card and to be working on getting citizenship ASAP. This will help employers have confidence in hiring you in the long run.

It sounds like you have everything in order to get a job here. Try applying to Edwards life sciences, J&J, ect. Many of these companies are located in San Diego and Orange County.

What type of degree do you recommend having to obtain these type of jobs? I have a non-science related degree but would not mind going back to school to get a degree for these type of jobs.

They typically want a science related degree. Bio or chem majors are their favorite. However, the degree doesn’t really matter as long as you have a bachelors. The degree does not get you the job. How you present yourself, your experience, and what you says gets you the job.

education is not necessarily required beyond having a bachelors. A bachelors of science is most preferred. It's important you work with an immigration lawyer to ensure you do things properly so that you can apply for jobs.
