In case it hasn't come up yet, the audio issue sounds like sample rate. Potentially easy fix. On Windows, right click the Sound speaker icon bottom right on the task bar > Select sound settings > Scroll down to the bottom and look for, "More Sound Settings." > Select your speakers or whatever output device. > Properties either in the bottom right or right clicking and selecting properties. > Advanced tab along the top. > Use the drop table to select higher Sample/Bit Rate options until resolved if possible. > Beneath that drop table are two boxes for Exclusive Mode, uncheck those. Reason that happens is, essentially, a greater number of sample rates being processed than the output device could handle. That, or WASAPI/ASIO audio drivers were fighting for 'exclusivity mode'; this will solve both. I had the exact same thing happen to me while routing a whole bunch of programs' audio through voicemeeter, and had a very stressful 3 days learning how to fix it.

ok so I saw this video and was somewhat hyped to try it. From what I tried I can tell one thing: it's easier to just dig up and then go up the wall of EDR, if you look at the map closely you can see that wall bulges in a regular pattern. If you go up 6 bulges of wall, then dig a tunnel through it, and then just tablet float horizontally there, it's much easier I think. Still took me 3 tries to get it right with no cheats(lost my tablet twice lol, had to steal pyramid boss book tablet, works the same as normal tablet float btw), and in the end I got cocky and went into the temple cloud thing because didn't find taikasauva in the shop and wanted to try my luck, and died to a dart trap, bc I was low hp 💀. Thank you for sharing the thing, I wouldn't come up with that otherwise❤

also imo this route would be like thousand times safer with invis perk or invisiblium, if you are brave enough to visit past the cloud shop that is. Hope that helps.

Yeah I used to do that (6.5 by my measurements) but ended up consistently higher than I wanted to be so I figured why waste the EDR digging time and just go diagonal on purpose. Got easier and like 5-10min faster. If you really really want consistency tho you can just wait for a tele bolt to show up in main path lol

Great video, just want to add if you dont want to tablet surf for any reason you can return to the surface at the ice level. If you found or made a good teleportation wand theres no need to tablet surf, the traveling will be signifacantly faster aswell.

That’s right yeah. I do think it’s a great idea to prioritize having some fun in this game over abusing the system so I vouch for play the game as a roguelike and when you feel ready to quickly run around the surface for something, you can go for it when better equipped. Teleport bolt is so nice.

the dark chest unlocks Spells to Nukes, Spells to Giga Sawblades, Spells to Magic Missiles, Spells to Death Crosses, Spells to Black Holes, Spells to Acid, and Copy Trail, which aren't terribly useful for most applications. Still, don't skip quests! Mama ain't raise no coward!

The Greek letters unlock by beating the alchemist yeah, and the lake cabin wand is a good idea, you only need the tablet to get there though. This video shows you how to fly with one, so you don’t need the teleport bolt.

I just like to grab the eye and go to wand mart. Way faster, more action and fun, and you get 4 wands with good stats/spells to start, maybe also hearts and potions. Just need to get lucky to avoid mages underground.

Yeah copy trail sadly is part of dark chest. It’s just, ever since I unlocked it I seem to get this place literally half filled with spells to X spells. It’s really annoying. So I just removed them from the pool again by deleting the unlock flags…

You can always take the op spells you get here, grab wand of multitudes (I’ve got a video if you don’t know how to do it safely), progress in main path easily, and return once you can beat up the cloud enemies. Then just explore the space left of this shop for a lot more tier 10s and more taikasauva chances.

I didn’t realize it was this bad 😭 I looked at the weights and it’s one of only 17 spells at 0.17% weight, every single other one of the 125 spells in tier 10 are 0.33% and up… seems the average is something like 0.5-0.7%. not getting dark chest quest does remove the 6 “spells to x” spells at 1.67% which helps a significant amount and the spells to x spells are trash anyway. I only really would miss copy trail but I just modified the unlock flags to put it in my spell pool anyway.

It’s a mechanic addressed partially but left intentionally for tablets by the devs that allows you to toss the tablet more than once from your inventory. You throw it and reselect the slot it came from on the same frame, while grounded. Game still thinks it’s in your hand, so you can toss it again and again. It’s been dubbed tabletkinesis by the community.

It’s a mod :) makes it way faster lol. I will take every opportunity to turn a pure time waster into something faster. That’s why I frequently just cycle to accel at the start so I can run around surface without getting bored out of my mind. Look up “instant gold” on workshop and it should probably be the first result

@@different_stuff you could never break the tree without the best digging tools, but I just tested with a bomb and you definitely can still break the starter mountain just like always. If you mean extremely dense rock on the side of the world, that also has always needed the best digging tools.

@@different_stuff You definitely can't break the tree with dynamite. It's durability 12 and Dynamite is capable of breaking up to 11. Nuke and Holy Bomb start breaking it. Explosions that shake the screen are capable of shaking loose terrain though, even brickwork. Throw a bomb in a holy mountain and you'll see the roof crumble a little bit. What grey mountain are you talking about though?

Or just do a full run and get them. Mastering that tablet hop is a practice in boredom and frustration. Just do a run and you'll have spent the same amount of time getting to the same place, except you'll have wands and health. You didn't even get the video fully tablet hopping to the shop, that's how tedious this process is.

Taking a minigun from the start would be all right, but this is too much. I prefer to go from a normal run to a god run using a skill. Yes, you may be very unlucky, but in my current run, I found the summoning of wands in the store on the 6th floor, and had a plasma cross since the 3rd, which allowed me to get the letter T without any problems. I'm sure that these actions required the same amount of time, effort, and luck as in the video, but this path was much more fun. This is not to mention the fact that you may or may not be given a teleport and black holes on the first floor... Assuming you mean the chaingun on the right of the map, it’s probably actually a longer journey. You spend at least 15min digging straight down.

It’s absolutely not the same amount of effort or luck. This way is incredibly easy and offers about 10-15 tier 10 spells to easily choose from. The 6th biome’s holy mountain and wands in the biome has at best 4th tier spells, which has a 0.07% probability of taikasauva. This shop has tier 10, which is 0.17% taikasauva. Plus there’s a huge amount of extra tier 10s off to the left of this shop for some added danger.
