@@nadinedesouza8496 most house in US is like that will all useable living space upstairs... However, he has no sea-view or mountainous terrain to see and can see same whatever view across the road from the veranda downstairs as he’s pitch on a little hill…

@@ricodane7567 I live in a condo style home and we have "another veranda upstairs". If he has more living quarters upstairs, of course a porch is needed. Must he go downstairs if he wants to enjoy some fresh air to watch the view he does have? He doesn't have to have a sea-view or mountainous view to enjoy, he can enjoy looking down at his very own property, it is elevated.
