Oooooooh, that looks like FUN❣️❣️❣️ I have done counted cross stitch for decades, and my initial thought in seeing diamond painting was that it was like stamped cross stitch; you have just confirmed that notion. I REALLY want to do one of these Josephine Wall pictures that have a couple of hundred colours; I have discovered that I enjoy confetti and seeing it all come together. This is the kind of project that I use to help chronic pain fall back by directing all my focus on it. That looks like it will be STUNNING upon completion❣️❣️

Hi Willeke - welke heb jij?

I love this video tutorial, has the chart been converted to diamond painting or is it still in Crosstitch style because I want to try a project like this but I’m wondering when it comes to half stitches and the pattern what would you do? I have Jane Natalie Mayhew’s Crosstitch jungle book and I would love to do the tiger out of it but I’m wondering if it would work being converted to a diamond paintings
@LisetteCraftsandTells2 жыл бұрын
Hi, I'm not a cross stitcher myself, but from what I understand the HAED patterns are full stitch and therefore there is no problem with converting those patterns into a diamond painting. Are there a lot of half stitches in your pattern? If it's only a few, then you could correct it by hand I think, but if it's a lot that will be a very big challenge.

Ive made my own pattern and really want to make it on a blank canvas, but it’s so hard to get all the drills I need without needing to spend over 200€. Don’t know if you have the pattern also digitally, but I find it easier using an app for it that only shows the color/symbol I need instead of having it on paper.

Hi Liesbeth - I bought mine from Smiths beads.co.uk - I know that Diamond Painting Deutschland sells drills as well. I don't know how big your own pattern is, but I spent approximately £ 80, - (€ 95) on the drills for my huge Anna Dittmann (63,5 by 118 cm). Yes I know about the pattern keeper app, but I specifically want to do this one in the paper version - because I haven't seen it done before and want to know how difficult it is. Maybe in the future I'll try the pattern keeper method.
