My dad didn't, he constantly told me I was bad at stuff and I shouldn't do specific things. I proved him wrong. Best thing that my dad ever said later in life, "You're good at everything, arent you?" Yep, dad. I am. Did all those things hurt when I was younger? Yep. Did they create a lot of doubt in my life? Yep. Distracted me? Yep. It's a waste. Don't listen to anyone spewing negativity. Don't talk to anyone. Keep your head down and keep going.

I remember being a young boy and always wanted to be a tracker trailer driver. I just thought they were the coolest thing ever. My family would always put that down and said go to school you'll make more money. What they should of said is hell yeah be the best truck driver you can and you'll can do anything..own a fleet of trucks etc you will be happy...well I followed everyones advice and I'm an average sucker working an average job....if these videos were available when I was a teen maybe things would be different.

The Justification Trap A person compromises when they must keep the roof over their heads and the food on the plate, and they realize what skills they have at the time and what jobs they can get, and keep, and especially if they are a parent then you bet they compromise, IMO it is responsible to make certain your family is provided for. It took sacrifice and compromise, and sure I didn't have my head on straight to chase my dreams on my own time, but what I did do is make certain my family was cared for, and I have compromised my whole life to achieve that goal. My point being is that compromising and doing whatever it takes to be responsible is a good thing, but we must also work on our goals every day. I see lot's of young people that don't keep the burger flippin job because it isn't their dream, but it's what they can do right now, it's the skills they have right now, so they should do that now, and once they are off work, train hard, their mind and body and chase their dreams, but when it's time, you go back to you want fries with that, you do it because that's being responsible until you can get something better. My problem is that because I made those choices, and settled for *&%$^ jobs because I felt I had to, to keep shoes on the kids, I can't get a good job that is in line with my goals yet because no one will even look at me with my resume even though I have the NLP etc skills. I am laying the foundation for my business and my dreams now, and I keep the 9-5 that is no where near my goals because until I find someone that will give me a shot, I have bills to pay. What I am trying to contribute is, eat your frogs, always move yourself forward, rest when you need, with purpose not drifting, keep an eye on the prize. Do what you have to, but don't fall into the trap. Thanks Bedros
