I know that waterhole!! Its on the back rd between Kunnunnurra and Whyndham! Pity Ivanhoes crossing is closed now..

When I lived in Kununurra 40+ years ago the major reason for the road past Ivanhoe Crossing and the former Ivanhoe Station (leading on to Wyndham) being closed was due to noxious weed some sort of burr that could attach itself to your tyres. The crossing itself was usually only closed during the peak of the wet season or when water was being let out of the Diversion Dam - about 3 or 4 times per year.
