Nice job mentioning that shooting drills at home is different than in front of other gun folks. Good one here, guys. Love this channel.

This is one of my favorite channels on KZbin. Only way it could be better is if videos dropped a little more frequently.

You guys are doing an incredible job with all of this. I'm really excited to try the 5x5 this weekend and I'll be looking for a way to get a few of the Casino targets as well!

Someone handed me one of these targets with arrows all over it when I first started and I had no idea what I was looking at. Good to know it wasn't just a Denny's placemat.

I haven't run this drill yet, but just from watching it looks like a great drill. It's simple enough that I remember how it goes after being told once, but I love the fact that your mind has to focus on something aside from just your technique. Great drill can't wait to run it!

I use discretionary target drills with friends in a little friendly competition. We use laserhit. I created a Excel worksheet where is have a call list so we do not lose track of what needs to be shot. Also allows for changing the sequence so we do not end up memorizing the movement. They are allowed a set amount of time per target. It does stress people a good bit so it helps with disciplining trigger pull, and getting sight alignment and overlaying that with the sight picture.

This is an awesome drill . First time I did this in 23 seconds and I though I was a good shooter . Boy was I way off lol.. I tried it again couple weeks later and did it I'm 21.33 . Since then I'm avg right at 19 . This is a very good drill. And yes I do notice I rush after a reload . My fastest was a 16 but it wasn't clean that's why the 19 . I do shoot with a RM06 . I need to try with just Irons and see where I fall .

This has been a great series. Any chance you guys would consider a similar series for AR style rifles? Maybe something focusing on engagement ranges of 10-100 yards, iron sights or red dots?

Great channel. I know you tend to go to da/sa semi autos for various reasons. Why not do a review on one of the most used da/sa pistols, the CZ po7 gen2?
@2aholes4027 жыл бұрын
Herman van Zyl this is only my thought but I am getting the feeling serious self defense dudes in this country consider the CZ a gamer gun. I was wonder the same thing when I was buying a da sa. I landed on the CZP01 but ended up selling for a Glock 19

Is there a variation of this for people with only 2 mags? I wish my P10-c came with 3 but it did not. Plus my appendix rig carries my handgun and 1 spare mag, this is how i have been training also.

If only I had a place I could shoot closer than 10-15 yards. At PA state gamelands ranges, you aren't allowed past the shooting bench and you can't bring your own target stands.
@epickett637 жыл бұрын
I have a different problem. At my ranges(indoor), you can't do rapid fire. Plus, I'd have to worry about dropping my mags on a concrete floor, risking damage or possibly bouncing in front of the firing line.

Turn the target 90 degrees after a few runs. This will give you 4 variations before you even get to random number of rounds.

I like alot of these drills but alot of them are not useful for me really. I do not carry a spare mag so anything with a speed reload is wasted practice and ammo for me. I think alot of people practice speed reloads that never carry a spare mag. To me my ammo is more useful doing other things. Great videos.
