I have an old Bianchi bandolier holster for my big 44. I think they are discontinued. Definitely a comfortable way to carry a heavy wheel gun. I have hiked many a trail with that big dude along for the ride without anyone knowing a single thing. Blends right into a backpack like it isn't there. And on certain hikes in bear country having a small hand cannon isn't overkill.

You know for the most part LEO's, especially in Blue States is made up of people who never have actually seen a handgun in person until they get to the academy. Officers County, City, State Police and Even things like the ATF are expected to be babysitters for the Grand Ol' Nanny state. These people are highly discouraged from shooting and killing criminals even when the criminals are obviously armed and dangerous. Ol' Gaston was a fine engineer and his products are great, but the reason Glock did so well is because he made handguns even adult children could wield effectively, that is if they had to. The Glock 17 and 19 made gun fighters out of everyone, even the most incompetent. In the past Great Law enforcement officers were great marksman, today they are ineffective hall monitors of the streets. If law enforcement was what cops today actually did, the Model 29 in any barrel length would suffice, or maybe even a full auto UZI.

KZbin had the audacity to remove the original video for “violating term of service”. So a well constructed persuasive argument displaying safe/professional handling of a firearm that had educational value is against guidelines? Got it. Hopefully the video will return after a dispute, but with the direction youtube has been going, I won’t hold my breath

Always educational. I enjoy the facts presented here. I own two revolvers and one lever rifle. I have learned to load cowboy action loads for range shooting making them a pleasure to shoot. Otherwise, for folks with medium hands, it is painful to shoot more than a dozen rounds. The Hogue rubber grips are a must. Nerve damage can occur with the wood grips. Thank you for your presentations. Always common sense and facts.

Actually not a .44 magnum out of a pistol fan. I think it looses too much energy out of a revolver for the amount of noise and recoil you get. Out of a carbine .44 mag is great for deer inside 150 yards.

Would love to own one of those. Something that won't break your shoulder,that's semiautomatic, light,and comfortable to shoot. Plus the history behind the weapon is an excellent bonus too.

There were actually 3 Ruger carbine models....the 1st had a tubular mag, the 2nd had the bolt like the 1st, but a rotary mag, the last one had a bolt design like an M1 Carbine and 4rd rotary mag...

I’m new to the 10/22, so forgive the simple question. What is the mount you have on the side of the rifle that allows you to install the Streanmlight? I can see it at 4:49 mark in the video, but have not been able to find it online due to my lack of experience with rifles. Thanks in advance. A link to it would be most helpful.

Something we must constantly ask ourselves is "what did I used to believe that I no longer find true". Whether its because of new technologies or techniques, our education must always be cyclical and evolving. Its great that you were able to give stockless shotguns a second look with a fresh perspective and share it with the rest of us.

I bet shooting standards will go way up once Kash gets in office! You didn't mention that all Special Agents have to go through pistol training. Women and male desk jockeys of all shapes and sizes and gun proclivities have to qualify. I don't know a lot of 5 ft 1 inch women who carry 10mm. I'm sure there's some.

I don't know. I've had 6 Mini-14s and love them all. My favorite feature is the safety. You never have to wonder what condition your rifle is in. So learn to live with it? No I fully embrace it. As far as groups go I get near MOA with my Minis. When I pull out my Colt AR-15 I get a lot of 2nd amendment Right-on brother groups. Between the two I'll take MOA any day.

When Glock took over at the shot show around 1994/95 I got to go to the shot show with my dad who was a rep for AKER leather and my dads friend Chuck was a GLOCK rep and we were invited to the Glock party at the flamingo Hilton and I got to meet And Shake hands with this little old Austrian guy greeting everyone as they came in and then I was told after that was Gaston Glock. 😂 no shit. I got my Glock armorers cert at 16yrs old and I shot IPSC with a Glock 24 with slotted firing pin cups and my dad’s friend got me orange red and blue mags and rear cover plate . All factory Glock. People would see this punk kid with all this factory Glock gear NO ONE could get. 😂😂😂😂 what a time man. I peaked so hard in high school. 😂😂

Damn! I can't afford to have a lot of customizing and special parts. I have an old, lovely model 19, that came through the S&W, custom shop in the early '70s with target hammer, and trigger.. I also have a newish .357 LCR bought straight across the counter, no tweaking. It's double action, straight out of the box, is every bit as good as my lovely old model 19.

I just ordered a Lipsey’s S&W J-Frame revolver in H&R Magnum. In the meantime, I went on Lucky Gunner and ordered a box of H&R Mag ammo (limited selection as expected - just one: Federal). I also bought a box of 32 Long wadcutter ammo.

I've had three 44 mags, one 41 mag, and one 357 mag. I had a Ruger Blackhawk with 10,1/2 barrel, Super Redhawk 7,1/2 barrel, and a Redhawk 7,1/2 barrel. I liked the Blackhawk best, was accurate and worked well. The 357 was a Ruger GP 100, six" barrel, and last the 41 was a Ruger Redhawk 7,1/2 barrel. Out of all of them I regret selling the 41. I believe for me it was the best all- around useful of them all, and I would say next to that I liked the big Blackhawk. I would still have the 41 though over all of them again, however, I gave up on magnum handguns as I really have no real need for one now. The 41 though was enough for me, whatever that would accomplish, was good enough for my purposes. Now I just have the old 38 special, and that seems enough for me these days as I don't hunt big or dangerous game.

I have the Ruger Super Blackhawk and the recoil is much more manageable than my friend's mod 19. Recoil for the Blackhawk is more up and the gun has a tendency to rise, whereas the mod 19 is more straight back. Love shooting the gun, but a box is enough fun for each range trip... Still, it hurts less than my .357 mod 60.

Very good video. But when you explain to people how to use it like for exempel, how to stand with it. Also explain why you do that. When a person also learn why they do what they do, they will have a higher chance of remembering. Nice AK btw

Nice opinion piece, but good heavens man, show us on the doll where the Walther PPK touched you. Lots of people like this gun, including me. I like lots of guns, and don’t favor others that lots of other people really like. I’ll never own a Glock, for instance, but it’s not because I don’t think they are good guns. I believe they are among the best. It’s because Glock and I don’t work well together. I fully agree that this gun is NOT for everyone, and it certainly isn’t a first pistol. My suggestion would be to consider this weapon after owning and firing several different guns over a period of years. Fire one before buying it. I bought mine from an experienced gunner friend who hated it. I fired it, and found it more accurate and controllable than an LCP Max or S&W Bodyguard. I like it. You obviously do not, but don’t go calling a gun “not good” just because you don’t like it.

One big factor that nobody has anticipated with these test loads is that the powder that is being used by the factory is not conducive to the powders being used by hand loaders It's like buying cheap Scotch from a distributor versus a single malt scotch top shelf

FYI Clint eastwood had the .41mag because for any reason the 44mag was not available at the moment of filming, at least for the first part
@edljnehan2811Күн бұрын
Wrong. They were initially looking for the 44 Magnum in 4 in however those were not available so it was decided to go with the 6 and 1/2 in with Clint commenting later on that that was a wise decision and fit in with the image of the movie better. They attempted to get 44 magnum blanks but since those weren't available at the time they went with 45 blanks. The 41 magnum thing is a myth and was never used or even considered.

Here’s the big reason too much hype about the 10 mm. It’s no more of a miracle round than any other round has good points and bad points. The biggest problem was the FBI and other law-enforcement agencies were able or willing to put the time and effort into Teaching how to use it and use it properly. Plus, everybody kept saying what a powerful round it was and the recoil was brutal. I have a 14 year-old granddaughter who shoots my 10 mm with hot loads and does a perfectly fine job with it and loves it. Everybody believes that everything is supposed to not make noise not supposed to have recoil you’re not supposed to have to do a lot of training. This person their hands are too big. This person‘s hands are too small get over it. There is absolutely positively zero reason why 90% and I say 90 because there might be some people that actually have some physical disabilities But everybody else can learn to fire a 10 mm and do it perfectly fine and be proficient at it. We always talk about too much recoil too slow to get back on target have any of these people ever actually been in a firefight where somebody shooting back at you? First round is your best chance after that it doesn’t matter if you’re fired in a 22 or Smith & Wesson 500 your follow up shots are probably not going to be that good. And that’s been proven statistically for decades. Again, there’s no such thing as the perfect round or the perfect weapon. It doesn’t exist. Training is the only thing that you can control.
@NewDaySon37Күн бұрын
Its not that bad of a pistol at all, its actual very fine quality. Takes some getting used to the way they handle, the sights take getting used too, the trigger takes a trained finger to work. The PPK pistols feel similar to a jframe in that once you get used to it, you find it handy, likeable, and hard to beat. They are slim, the weight distributes well with a good holster and belt, and the new are accurate and reliable. Well made. Ill be honest though, I like my G42 a little better. My PPKs still makes me feel well armed.

I had an air weight. Great gun. HATED it! Sold it. The gun is too light for .38 special. I am an experienced shooter and no woos, and enjoy 357, .45, and 44 Magnum etc. The recoil on this little gun with tiny grips hits right on the bone at the base of the thumb, and hurts like hell...to the point that after less than 100 rounds at the range I could not shoot for two months, while the bruised bone healed. I suggest a revolver above 20 oz empty to lessen recoil.
