I’m intrigued about 5 teams this year - Crows, Essendon, Gold Coast, Melbourne and St Kilda. To me it seems the odds of each of those teams finishing 6th is about the same as them finishing 16th.

Naughton to CHB is weird because he’s got better f50 stats than Harry McKay. If anything I’d have Naughton as a chf-c lead up target, not necessarily as a goal kicker

Oh please let the Bombers without a finals victory remain an active AFL story until they finally win one. 21st year coming up and I think 25 years+ is a distinct possibility. They deserve this to be an ongoing theme for insisting they are still a big club and of course for the Peptide scandal. Overpaying very average free agents has proven to be a flawed strategy.

In a nutshell listing clubs for prime example like the Bulldogs and Crows noting the low points superseding all positives regardless overall, is something podcasts and viewer comments ideally get nulifyed by the standard and professional ability of AFL clubs before keypad enthusiasts have an opportunity.

Id way rather Lobb at halfback over Naughton. Lobb was in genuine AA form towards the end of the year, he smashed every forward he played on. Naughton and Mara are basically hot or cold thats what they need to fix. My thing for the lions would be keep playing Noah Answerth! He fixed so much for having an accountable halfback that can go to stoppages. It was the missing piece for the small forward problem they had, Starce is goated too ofc

Lobbs kicking really surprised me at CHB. AN actually had similar/better stats than Harry McKay but they were looked at so differently. I’d get Naughton more up the ground between Centre and CHF, marking and handing off to Weightman, West etc to pass off to Darcy/JUH or run and goal themselves rather than using AN as a goal kicker
