Figured the combine engine was for a 190-200... Most engine don't run well with the extra ventilation.. I see JD used the same crappy axle setup as New Holland.. drill and tap a hole in the back of the housing, put a grease zerk in it. Just a few pumps of grease a year will save a bunch of headaches. You can do it even if it's not apart, use a vacuum while drilling and tapping. Keep it as clean as you can..

Oh boy, lol, that engine swap looks pretty straight forward. Not sure on the rake, i'm thinking just put a bearing in it, and maybe look for a parts rake for down the road. Thanks for the update.

For how few small square acres I plan to do per year I think the rake will last me.

Hopefully you’re able to get the stuff repaired soon. That’s a good sized hole in the 190s block. For the rake maybe new bearings will hold up?

Not the first Allis I've seen with a hole in the wall. Did it throw a rod ? JD built a good rake. That should be worth fixing. Thanks.

Weve narrowed it down to wristpins based on how the engine stopped. The rake was an online auction buy that looked better in the pictures.

Wow. So I'll just get great at changing them. I plan to get a wheel rake as well so the bar rake won't cover every acre.
