Not bad, Shane. Not unlike the stuff that I like to play. Could use a little variation, but I understand what you're trying to do! Most guys need exactly this kind of help! I like your sus chords in the backing track. Now, that's a unique approach! Most ppl go for Dom 7 chords, I like this. 👍 👌

Your lessons are fantastic.... very well explained and demonstrated. I wish you give away the backing track, at least one of them. Thanks a lot.

The lady who runs our music group here at the old folk's home is always getting on to me to come up with "motifs," and I never quite got what she meant. Now I have somewhere to start. That was a terrific lesson, Shane! 🤘🎸

Some good tips to keep in mind, thank you. I'm trying to learn more about how melody works exactly for composing/improvising and there is a lot to contend with.

'Snot really. Just play a melody from inside your head! Then, make it into a motif. After that, you'll want to "keep coming back to it.". Try making variations off your backing chords... but you always go back to the tonic. Easy peasy!

Shane - Think you may have a typo in the title of this lesson. Perhaps the cover page should use the word “sense” rather than “since.” Hope this will help you get more hits on this fine lesson.
