I've been using Filmora for a couple years now, but this is a great review. When I was first learning I'm sure I had all this explained, but not retained. It helps to see it as an experienced editor. Now I know why, and how, I can do things. Also, it helps to see the different ways to do the same thing.

These types of videos are perfect. You should do more of these videos. For example, perhaps explain the UI of Filmora 11 for people who have never actually learnt video editing. Another example, how you should place your videos on the timeline? Should you put everything on 1 timeline or separately? Is there a rule of thumb of knowing where to place your videos on top or below? A video like this for new people without experience in editing would be good.
@jaytv4eva Жыл бұрын
How you organize your shots in the import menu should reflect which order you'd like to place them onto the timeline and if it helps, if you have a huge shot list, organize them into folders and put each folder in proper sequence of which order you'd like to place them on the timeline. Next, try to keep your main content you are finished with on one timeline segment. Overlays of course, may require using a second timeline, but generally try to keep everything on one timeline except for music and sound effects. Sound effects and music I generally keep on one timeline but sometimes you have to use two timelines, depends on the kind of film or content you are making.
@jaytv4eva Жыл бұрын
Oh and one more thing; it's prolly common sense but sometimes, people forget to do the color and audio correction BEFORE they begin spicing up the clip(s) in the timeline! Make sure you do that first before you begin editing your project. Also, if your camera comes with a noise reduction feature, use it and film with white light to maximize easier color correction in post production

This is a very poor video for beginners. It would be nice if you taught the BASICS before getting into a lot of complicated crap about using multiple clips. You begin well, but very quickly you move into a lot of complicated crap. You should start by demonstrating how to record a video, such as recording the screen or even with a camera. Then demonstrate how to prepare that ONE clip -- how to cut sections and how to crop the size. That's all many of us need, and even those who don't need to start there. This is NOT for beginners. This is for people who want to make complicated videos, which means they've probably made basic videos before. Also, you do things much too quickly. At one point you say to do something with an I and an O, but you do it so quickly I couldn't see what you actually did. Finally, we don't all use keyboard shortcuts. Some of us need to remember important information about other aspects of life and don't want to waste time memorizing a bunch of crap we don't need to.
@FilmoraWondershare4 ай бұрын
Thank you for your feedback. We apologize that the video didn’t meet your expectations, especially as a beginner. Your points are valid, and we understand the importance of starting with the basics. We’ll consider creating more beginner-friendly content that focuses on simple steps like recording, basic editing, and avoiding shortcuts for those who prefer not to use them. Your input is invaluable, and we’ll work on making our tutorials more accessible to all users.

I have been a #Filmora user since version 8. I recommend that everyone should search social media on why all users are calling out Filmora. A lot has changed since this tutorial video came out. I would not recommend Filmora or #Wondershare to others given the Greed, Corruption and Shameful behavior they have expressed by trying to buy silence and secretly rewording user licenses. Greedy and Shameful. Please search and twitter, youtube and social media to see what's going on.
