Started a new composition, tell me what you think :)

Sounding great! I really like your rhythmic texture, I think it's generally interesting/complex enough without being too overwhelming. At the moment I think the transition into bar 19 is a bit too sudden, but I you may just not have written the other parts. I think a lightening of the texture (and quietening of the dynamic) could work there but maybe not that suddenly (i.e. drop some instruments out before that bar). Also if you have enough space on your computer (requires 10-20GB I think) the Musescore sound fonts would do wonders to the audio recording! Great start though well done :)

@@Aeolian_Wisp Thanks so much for your input, and thank you for being forgiving and empathetic. The transition feels awkward simply because I didn’t know quite how to develop into it, and because it was getting late and I didn’t want to spend much more time on it at the time (your advice is very helpful for this though, and I’ll likely implement some of your tips :)). As for the sound fonts, I had them downloaded on my pc previously but my pc broke down on me recently and I haven’t had the opportunity to download the sound fonts again. That’s something I’ll have to remember to do 😅. Thanks again for your advice!

The chord is better than what I usually make :) I'm not a composer, but I think this is excellent but a little short... By the way, if you are using musescore studio 4, you can try installing musehub's soundfonts. The playback is way more better than the original Musescore sound.?

musesounds sounds better at first glance but it also sounds extremely janky and broken, i understand wanting to keep writing with the old sounds

Hmm... it's okay. I know that Musesound sounded weird but I prefer it :)

@@Temulgeh I agree that the new sound fonts are a little broken 😅 but the primary reason I don’t have them downloaded is because I haven’t had the chance to download them again after my pc broke down recently.
