My great aunt Zelma Caswell lived with my grandfather and their family in Sunset Texas in Montague County. When she was 11 years old she was walking home from Sunset Texas to their home on farm to market road 1749 and came upon a car parked on the side of the road with no one in it. she walked up to the car and looked inside it and saw thousands of dollars in cash and multiple guns in the backseat. She was scared so bad that she ran blindly away from the vehicle tangled in a bob wire fence moments after she stuck herself in the fence, she heard a woman’s voice, say oh Clyde look at this little girl she’s got herself all tangled up in the fence. A young woman and Man came over and helped her out of the fence and gave her $20-$10 bills and told her that she could buy a new dress with that, she went straight home to my great grandparents and gave the money to them which was a ton of money at that time

I never knew that Clyde lived less than a mile away from my house along with jfk’s killer. West Dallas holds more historic purity that I thought.

Thank you Freda Dillard. I’ve been to the site south of Arcadia Louisiana where Bonnie and Clyde were killed. I just love ladies who have a southern accent. I was born in Louisiana and I have lived in Texas for 30 years. I love southern culture. In Dixie land I’ll take my stand to live and die in Dixie. Southern ladies are the best !

I'm a little confused... the head stone looks as if Clyde Barrow is buried there , so was he actually buried there then ?

Maybe they did some unforgivable sins. And that's something that should not be encouraged. But still, their relationship is what real love looks like. No turning back, ride or die, it's you and me.

Back during the Bonnie and Clyde era the great depression was taking place her in the U.S. People couldn't find work was unable to take care of there family's. People were having there homes and farms repossessed be goverment people could not withdraw what money they had out of banks because the banks were shutting down. They blamed the goverment for this and a lot of people sided with Bonnie and Clyde because they were kind of glad somebody was sticking it to the man. But you probably won't understand this but I have tried to explain it to you. And no I does not justifie them killing all those people. I guess you would have to be American to understand . Bonnie and Clyde new what they were doing and they new they would not get away with this forever and they new they would die won day when the long arm of the law caught up with them.

I understand exactly what you're saying and my mother explained it to me the same way... she told me how Bonnie and Clyde and people like Dillinger , etc . were all considered a bit of folk heroes because of robbing the banksters... too bad we don't have any heroes nowadays when the banksters are worse than ever . Look at what happened in 2008 and not one of those bastards went to jail ; and yet people wait on them hand and foot in the restaurants , upscale bars , country clubs , posh stores and every place they go ...rather than shunning them and refusing to look at them and treating them as if they are something despicable ; which many of them are. I thought it would be interesting to write a script for a movie about modern-day vigilantes going after those banksters and going after them in their homes , holding them hostage , forcing them to pay massive ransoms... hitting them hard in the pockets like they've done to a number of people ... scenarios like that . But you know we live in a day and age where even just maybe making a movie about that and writing about it could make one a troublemaker.

@@gardensofthegods People are stoopid. Just who do the people who considered the Barrows 'folk heroes' think owned the money in those banks? The best part of the Bonnie and Clyde story was their enthusiastic ventilations at the hands of Frank Hamer and his boys in Gibsland, LA on that glorious day in May of 1934.

I live near a bridge in Conroe Texas that Bonnie and Clyde would meet Clyde's cousin Ennis that lived in the area. Clyde's cousin Ennis is buried in a cemetery in Conroe. My husband is buried in the same cemetery that WD Jones is buried
