Again it astounds me that for what us westerners would have payed for a couple of cups of coffee from a well known international Coffee company, you can get a armature rewind for less! I’m really impressed with the thoroughness of the person who is rebuilding this commutator with much less than a handful of tools and a very good eye for detail. These skills that your man is showing would have once been done in the very same way that has been done today, with no less attention to detail. This reminds me of a time my starter failed. G.M. 6.2 Diesel more than $250. I was broke a friend suggested that I rebuild it. Never heard of that option but I was broke. New bushings and brushes less than $15 that starter lasted longer than the relationship with the truck. This is the next level I'm impressed thanks for the shared knowledge. May your GOD BLESS YOU.

@@ahmedace4911 yes, you can try to repair the stators of broken power tools, such as a drill or a grinder, for such things you do not need expensive tools and the stator itself can be replaced in your hands, buy or find it at a low price and sell at a profit, read about coils and electric motors collect equipment or find a master at the Free Guild of Various Crafts and Entrepreneurs I do not know how to translate it into English but in the country where I live it is possible to find a master who by law must be an electromechanic or electrician with whom you will practice and gain knowledge or become a self-taught

The problem is the mentality. My thirty-year-old ASEtraining has taught me how to rebuild all kinds of parts but the auto parts store does not stock the components to rebuild anymore they just offer the whole remanufactured part from China.as a mechanic I'm totally capable of doing it just can't get the seals and all of the extra little parts in USA. Last time I asked for a rebuild kit for a newer brake caliper the guy at the auto parts store looked at me like I was crazy "nobody rebuild stuff anymore you're a rare breed" he said. which makes no sense by the reman that's probably going to fail way sooner for 250 or I can rebuild it myself with the proper tools techniques and experience for 35 if I could get the parts.

It's more about time, for doing something like this anywhere where the economy is in a healthy condition, it's not worth the time investment, for doing a job like this, you need someone who knows what he does and pretty much the entire day or more, it's all about the economy, these guys don't make in the entire year what other mechanics make in a week... @@UmbraWeiss That's not correct my point is I can rebuild a brake caliber for about $50 warranty it for 5years myself all faster that it takes to go to the store and get a reman that will fail in a few months that costs $175. Store refuses to sell the rebuild kit they used to make the reman. Rebuilding starters is not something a mechanic normally does because this is just a small part of a starter the brushes and casing are the parts that normally go first.

ну вот я те скажу что такая поломка при которой якорь реально згорел она не такая уж и частая - обычно коротышь из за того что втулки разбиты и якорь начинает шаркать о статор вот эти наборные пластины сдвигаются и повреждают изоляцию - бывает даже достаточно пластины поправить и поменять втулки и он ещё походит! ну и второе - как же балансировка? видишь фрезерованные канавки на якоре в видео? это не для красоты - это балансировка! а при таком ремонте о балансировке и речи быть не может

Some 7 years ago a Pickup Truck F250 diesel I had stopped running. I suspected it was an electric starting issue. I called a towing company and had it towed to a Ford dealer ( Lincoln Ford in downtown Edmonton, Canada ) for a diagnostic and repair estimate and told them not to do nothing on it if the bill would go over 500 dollars before they contact me. The next day they call me and said they had to open the engine, and still don't know what the problem was but called me to ask for permission to go further as they already put work of 3000 dollars into it before the call. I had to abandon the truck there as I couldn't afford the bill and I vowed never in my life to purchase a Ford vehicle from the Ford Company as they showed zero respect and professionalism. Respect you guys for fixing things with passion and at reasonable prices for your clients.

@@mehmoodmustafa6877 In the US they would double the cost of the part and add $90 an hour for labor to install it. They would also bill for an hour, even if the job took only 20 minutes. People would pay without question. It just does not make sense to have the part rebuilt. Additionally, if the vehicle is under warranty, a new part is required, which the manufacturer pays for, including labor. Pakistan is a poor country. Rebuilding the alternator is necessary because people do not have the money for new parts. In the US, the average person makes $60,000 a year and many make over $100,000. I was a teacher. Today people with over 20 years experience earn more than $100,000, and people with 30 years may earn over $120,000. When we retire, we get a pension. This is why in the US we have expensive houses, cars, boats, computers, cell phones, cameras, and fly around the world to see other countries. Also, nobody has to learn how to fix anything. They pay others to fix it, or they just buy a new one. It is a different world. On the other hand, it costs over $70,000 a year to attend a top university.
