I actually ran that with no uniques for a while, just good rares. When you get your 4 points of ascendancy your damage increases by a lot, just alterate the highest item level 2hand linked weapon you have untill you get high %inc phys, regal it, add flat phys from a master and you clear with ease. Other than that, used a ancestral totem for single target extra dps, it also increases your attack speed which is nice

I notice that you take the bleed/poison/main ascendancy notable in the BV assassin. How do you inflict bleed? Bleed only works with attacks and you need to bleed targets to do anything with it.

I'm playing this build and was asking myself the same question, i tested putting a poison gem in the setup but i already shatter almost everything instantly and i fell like the poison doesn't do that much un less it's a boss.

He mentioned that he adds poison to his setup most likely for bosses but u dont need it for leveling. He chose that instead of the other nodes most likely because its multiple hits so theres no point in getting more chance to crit and crit dmg on first hit.

About the slayer lacerate, you don't think its worth to sacrifice a bit dmg and go all in leech? You basically pass loads of leech nodes, and with brutal fervor maybe this will make leeching more reliable against even hard hitting mobs and bosses?

I don't know his opinion but alot of theory crafting is that it doesn't replace Vaal Pact but does make leech alot more more consistent against everything else.

Hello, do nodes that refer to your weapon always mean it's talking about attacks? I mean nodes like the dagger node that makes you poison on critical strikes? Spells only scale with those that say "wielding a weapon X"? Edit: I was talking about "Adder's touch"

If you mean what i think you do (specifically the Staff nodes on the top left side of the tree) you are correct. Any node that reads "... with x weapon" only works with attacks with that weapon but the Serpent stance Staff node is worded "... while wielding a staff" so it gives you a global bonus affecting all your spells, attacks and whatever else you do, while you are holing a staff in your hands. PoE is really complicated sometimes but GG is very consistent with the way they word passives and skills. Adders Touch reads "Critical strikes WITH daggers have ..." it only works for attacks with a dagger. For it to work on spells it would need to read "Critical strikes have ... while wielding a dagger".

How does anyone get currency for the unique daggers let alone the other items such as the flask early on in a new league,,seems like the video maks it seem much easier than it actually is, unless you have alot of ingame support from players etc etc etc,,I never got fully geared in perandus even selling off alot of stuff. Starting from scratch most builds take awhile imo,,too bad we cant bring over a few things from standard.

Mathil, do you value the 33% more aoe from prolif over the 30+% more damage of beacon of ruin?(for flameblast) and if so,why?

Beacon is more than 30%+ more damage, since the Prolif is a support gem itself, whilst beacon is a passive. Which means with Beacon you can run an additional gem on top of not having the damage penalty from prolif. That being said, you need to consider your options and see if you can compensate that damage with another class/ascendency combo or if you really want the AoE, though I think that prolif radius on a prolif build, although extremely crucial, is mainly there to kill what doesn't get with with the initial skill, which I think Beacon would do just fine.

I think the point is that the build has such ridiculously high amounts of damage that another few % more don't really alter your clear speed much. Most of the more powerful builds end up with so much damage that unless you are fighting a Boss you just oneshot anything anyways. The prolif gem allows you to apply your Damage to a larger area with a single cast of FB. If you need more damage you can always just stack the Flameblast a bit higher. Anything except red maps and bosses should die from a 3-5 Stack FB so if you are low on damage you can just use 6-7 Stacks instead. Just Flameblast things^^

no cuz the burning damage depends of the initial fb damage, you would be decreasing the burning damage cuz controled destruction is a huge multiplier to the initial hit

The minimum crit chance is 5% chance. You cant get lower than that (unless you take the resolute tecnique keystone). So elemental overload will trigger sometimes even when using controlled destruction. If it is a good idea to take the elemental overload node even with such low crit chance is up to you.

controlled desctruction makes u lose 1xbasecrit chance of the spell. so if you have 90 crit as bladevortex u just lose 6% for a bonkers more multiplier.

Controlled destruction takes 100% >increased< crit. So, your base is 7% for example, u scale it to 87% and then use controlled construction. Controlled construction will take 7% so u go down to 80% but gain a huge amount of >more< spell damage. And >more< damage scales with >icnreased< damage (100dmg + 50% increase + 50% more = 100>150>225) so u have a huge scaling on dmg for some crit. Hope my english was not too bad to explain that xD
