I’ve been testing a version of this deck on the Sim, and while I am still incredibly new and still having to learn all the nuances of matchups and the game itself, this so far has been my favorite of the upgraded Starters that you guys have provided. I’m loving this TCG so much.

Op-05 10 cost luffy is one of my favorite cards in the game, I'm definitely gonna base my pluffy build around it

I Wouldnt base a deck around it, but its very good for finishing a game

I feel that focusing too hard on traditional purple luffy actually hurts the deck. I'm not a fan of blocker kid as much these days as it is easily removed and, most times, needs to sit on the board for a turn to get value. Ulti Page one is far too inconsistent, paulie doesn't feel strong enough. I feel a turn 3 luffytarou into another body is much stronger than the Paulie play.

Kid is more of a backup play for going second,since it’s going second turn 2 is terrible,otherwise yes it’s better to go for a more straw hat build for the most part

I think Blocker Kid is still a good tech until OP09. I only run it at 2 because there are very few DON generators for the deck, so getting DON back without having to use life is always good. Ramping back up after a Kaido play is essential to survival and Kid helps a lot. The rest I'm fully on board with you about. Traditional PLuffy was good but the Straw Hat stuff makes the deck much more consistent, even before OP09.

@GR8NE55 I'm honestly unsure about Kaido right now. The amount of black and Bonnie's in my local scene makes it hard for him to get value. I'm leaning to big mom and Gear 5 as top end

just a matter of not having a critical mass of straw hats at the highest power level to make it work, and conceding the better purple cards for straw hats atm isn't worth it. you could totally take the risk of just running so Luffytaro, Zorojuro, o-nami at 4 ofs and maybe 1 more strawhat and then playing the gambling game on hitting all their abilities at anytime, but i feel like thats a irresponsible version of the deck to pitch to a new player learning it and is a choice made by experience players once they understand the deck and deckbuilding themselves. if that makes sense.

For level 3… why playing Page One, vanilla 4 cost 6K? Isn’t better to play Usopp version since it gives you the “Straw hat “ value with Luffytaro or your searchers? Just curious about that decision

both level 3 versions are playing usohachi, im not quite sure what you're getting at unless you're mistaking how we have 2 different level 3 versions, the straw hat variant this deck starts with and a traditional "purple good stuff" version with P luffy as the leader

@@JoyBoysTCG my mistake… this is OP8.5 Was thinking of OP09-063… Usopp, 4 cost, 6K, 1K counter.. basically same as Page One but with Straw Hat type value.. but OP09 not out there in the west yet. My bad

Does the -5 don't mean I get 5 don or it cost 5 more because kiddo is 9 to play them -5don on play does that mean I get 5 back or he cost 14 which we don't have

So "-# of don" means you return the specified # of don back to your don deck to pay the cost for the ability. This can be done that is active, rested or attached
