My hair texture is quite different so I know our experiences will be different, but definitely try to wait a little while until fully washing. Until then, spray your hair everyday with water so it can begin locking and so it doesn’t unravel when you wash it. 1-2 months is a good time to wash it

I have a question I have starter locks with two strand twist I got a retwist but I had to wash my hair a week after my retwist because I play sports and sweat a lot and after I washed it it’s like all of my roots are just like a puffy Afro and don’t look twisted anymore how do I prevent that ?

I go through the same I’d probably say Don’t wash for like two weeks then start to wash

I’ve been using a wig cap when I wash my starter locs it helps a lot

Make sure you're twisting it back whenever your hair unravels. As for the puffiness, it's pretty unavoidable. But as long as your hair doesn't unravel it will lock up. Retwists will help a lot!
