Skeledirge isn't just a croc with a bird. The transition from crocalor to skeledirge makes perfect sense. And,of course,this is the most inspired pokemon I've ever seen. It's based on the mutualism of the nile crocodile and the plover bird that cleans it's teeth. And it even uses the bird as a microphone, and of course the singer motive.

Crocalor is better than the Charizard line. Basic lizard with flame on tail? Boring. Croc with flaming nest sombrero? Amazing. Quaxwell is cool as hell, especially the shiny. S. His design along with evolutionary aesthetic are similar to Koraidon with the brows and feathers. Quaxwell is so good I didn’t want it to evolve. Quaquaval is the best tho, with Moxie????? Oh man.

Cinderace is one of the best starters. I don’t get some of you all’s takes. Libero is a great ability and the whole “humanoid” controversy surrounding it is dumb. By all the fires of the black pit, I put skeledirge in SS tier. This croc far surpasses all the sinnoh starters in terms of inspiration and is definitely the best and most inspired and well-excecuted starter pokemon in my opinion. Being inspired by the mutualism of the crocodile and the Egyptian plover bird made this pokemon stand out from the rest. And I love crocodiles so I'm probably bius,but I don't care.

My tier lists for the fully evolved starters S tier (god tier, best designs imo): Greninja Decidueye Charizard Sceptile Infernape Blastoise A tier (great): Samurott Blaziken Inteleon (I will agree it's pretty skinny, but some of the starters are sleek too like infernape and Greninja, plus the concept behind it is dope and I've had fun using it. Favourite Galar starter) Hisuian Decidueye Cinderace Incineroar Feraligatr Meowscarada Quaquaval (for a duck based on a dancer, it kinda works. Plus if u set up with Aqua Step and pair it with Moxie, you can outspeed and OHKO a lot of threats) Skeledirge Primarina B (pretty good): Swampert Empoleon Rilaboom (pretty solid but I will admit the drum is kinda gimmicky) Typhlosion Hisuian Typhlosion Hisuian Samurott Serperior (great design but its movepool is terrible) C (it's ok, like I don't love it, I don't hate it, it's just whatever) Emboar Venusaur Chestnaught Torterra (it has a great design but it's abysmally slow, that quad weakness to ice is really bad, and Ash's left a negative taste in my mouth) F (not a fan, these r just bad whether design or gameplay usage) Meganium and Delphox. Meganium is underwhelming design wise and it's just not viable for a Johto playthrough. Its movepool is also not that great. And Delphox, I will admit the design inspiration is cool design wise, it needed WAY better execution. The robe made out of its own fur ain't that great to look at, and that ear hair, like what the heck?! It's larger than its face!! I can see why many people hate it

BS tier list. For S tier. Venusaur has the best type coverage for grass starters and is fairly fast. Cinderace is not only fast, but it can change its type basically at will thanks to its Libero ability, and now it's even more unpredictable with a tera type. And Swampert has only grass as its weakness, plus it's bulky and hits hard.

You know what's so sad? How Starter Pokemon designs have seriously declined in quality. Nowadays only have ONE good Starter and the other two are just complete dogs**t! Serperior is the only good Unova Starter, Greninja is the only good Kalos Starter, Decidueye is the only good Alola starter, Rillaboom is the only decent Galar starter, and Skeledirge is the only good Paldea Starter. Emboar, Samurott, Chesnaught, Delphox, Incineroar, Primarina, Cinderace, Inteleon, Meowscarada, and Quaquaval are all easily some of the absolute worst Pokemon to grace this franchise.
