This episode in particular is very different from the other ones and I'm extremely curious about what the general reaction to it will be. Hopefully you'll like it. it's strange how squirtle ends up saying this in response to chimchars death instead of charmanders death like we all thought

Well a twist is always a nice thing and I was surprised by how well they put it in. Also I honestly feel like the approach they took with him apologizing to Chimchar is actually more effective than Charmander, now I mean this as the fact that he essentially forced two other pokemon to help him relive the childhood he lost. It shows that he has become so detached from the world due to his guilt that it takes the death of a fellow companion for him to finally admit honestly how he felt. Not to mention that from my viewpoint since they never shown him apologize to Charmander, this apology is not just for Chimchar rather it is for everyone that he murdered. My main reason for saying this is that he actually admits his guilt, because up until this point I do not think he was willing to accept his faults. The difference is that this time he wants to set the record straight and right the wrongs he had done. This is also why he finally chooses to evolve as Charmander, Bulbasaur, and him had originally promised to evolve together. He had accepted that Charmander and Bulbasaur are basically gone, so he has chosen to move on from them.

The only two things I really questioned was what happened to bulbasaur and why is Squirtle/Wartortle carrying Chimchar’s dead body. My guess for Bulba is he’s either dead or missing. The problem is that Squirtle said he had the “happiest” ending of the whole squad. So maybe he’s just fine? My only guess for Chimchar is that Wartortles properly burying him. Maybe he’s going to ask the “gods” to revive him? Idk.

@@cantmakeacreativename2072 Yeah it is never said exactly what happened to Bulbasaur, like Squirtle said he got the happiest ending probably. So either he died happily or he is still alive but stayed in Kanto. My best bet is if he is alive he is probably happy because he is probably helping whoever needs food because the caterpies were able to use him for food while also feeding him berries. Either way he will probably show up again down the line. On the other hand I strongly agree, as one KZbinr said he is going to see to the Deities Kratos style. Either way he is going to fight to kill them or he will have Chimchar revived. Although due to the abilities of the creation trio I would actually assume that they would more likely do some time travel shenanigans so that Wartortle will be able to change the past. Either that or he will be given the option and will reject it because he has moved on and just wants to fix what he can currently.

The Myth The Legend The Squad is back from 2 years

Here is my theory: During the past two years , we have had a few clues on what will happen next. First of all, on Twitch, Shippiddge gave us an extract from episode 10, in which Squirtle is fighting against a Fearow. At the end of the fight, he begins to evolve. However, I think it is possible that he cancels his evolution, as we can do in the games, most likely because he feels guilty of what happened to Charmander. Furthermore, his voice doesn't change at all in the new teaser, which is another clue. Later, Squirtle may leave the Caterpies, or be kicked out for not being loyal enough, and finds himself alone in the snow. I think this place in on Mt. Silver, because there isn't any other snowy place in Kanto except for Seafoam Islands , and it is quite close to Viridian Forest. However, it's pretty hard to guess what happens next. Maybe he will try to find Mewtwo, or maybe he will encounter Missingno. Indeed, the end credits of episode 9 suggest that Missingno will appear in episode 10. Anyway, I am certain that this episode will be almost entirely centered on Squirtle and how he deals with what he did to Charmander. Also, I can't tell what happened to Charmander because there is no clue at all. All I know for sure is that he doesn't evolve at the moment he is stabbed, because a lot of people suggested it and Shippiddge said "no one has come remotely close to guessing what happens next", so it doesn't happen. Maybe Sandslash will come back in the Caterpie cave, free Bulbasaur, and figure it out. Or maybe we will not have the answer here and will have to wait for episode 11. Ok, that's all. What do you think of my little theory ? I am open to suggestions.

These are my 5 guesses: 1. Squirtle/Wartortle goes to find the “god(s)”. Who turns out to be Palkia, Mewtwo, Arceus, or Dialga. Then Wartortle convinces the “god” to “travel back in time” to when Char and CharMANDER were still alive. 2. Wartortle goes to the top, and has MORE flashbacks of him and Bulbasaur and (Char, maybe) Charmander. Then maybe the “god” sees it, and then he turns the memories into “real life”. Which reunites the starter squad back together. 3. They go to Bulbasaur and show what happened to him. 4. Wartortle finds the “god” and then shows (Chim)char to the “god” and asks him to “revive” him. Then they EVENTUALLY (somehow, I’m not really sure) find Charmander and Bulbasaur and they Reunite once again 5. Wartortle goes to the “god” and apparently they have Charmander’s body parts, and put him back together (along with bulbasaur?). *but then again I can’t actually force you to make Charmander come back again, I mean, I didn’t expect you to kill Charmander, but it happened…so…*

Here’s my theory: From the other teaser Shipp gave us we see Squirtle killing a Fearow and then evolving. He seemed to be angry at the time, so i believe he thinks Charmander is dead (He is actually alive) So we can expect Wartortle in Episode 10, I believe Squirtle is grieving the death of charmander, as you can hear the pain of his voice. I think he possibly betrays the Caterpies, and he goes here, or he is continuing training with the Caterpies as we see him with the fearow, and also in one of shippidges community posts we see him jumping on fish.
