Starfield: Does it Feel Different After 7 months Away?

Well i just started a new game today and only after 2 or 3 hours i just can't go on, this game is so boring, so uninspired that i just can't. I played it a lot when it was released and i like the ship building and outpost management but now, that stuff is nothing new to me and i cant get interested in it anymore. This just makes the story and npcs look even mediocre, I also just played Fallout 4 this week a lot and i was so much fun that this Starfield looks like so much worse in every possible way.

I hear you and I understand everything you just said, but I haven't given up on it yet. It has only been about 6 hours though.

@@lastmangameplan Yes Starfield can give a good feeling when you start to play it. But after a while you end up discovering that everything is just copy pasted stuff on planets. Everywhere you go you find the same bases, the same plants the same monsters, the same ennemies attacking you for no reasons. Then with the annoying loadind screens everywhere it still adds up to the feeling that this game is a chore. The only thing that saved that game from the bin is the ship building and the outpost and materials gathering and crafting. But once again all those materials and crafting is for nothing as they don't find any use in the game. I ended up with 50 tons of each available ressources and crafted materials in a huge stocking outpost and then i just had to sit and watch the cargo ships landing and taking off in a deafening noise! That was fun for a while but once you have done it you don't feel starting all this over again. And the quests, my god the writing is awfull, the npcs and companions are boring, the dialogues are really bad. Well if you have a very low level of requirement for the writing and you just don't care too much you may enjoy some quests. Some are quite decent but there is always a moment when a very bad dialogue or a nonsense comes up and destroys everything.

Nope. Game still sucks. Will always suck. Such is life.

I'm having fun so far. We'll see if that wears off or if it stays this time. I suspect QOL mods might help a lot.

@@lastmangameplan Nah homie - play your heart out. You're talking to someone that loved Wolfenstein: Youngblood. We all have a trash game that we know is trash that for whatever reason we play.
