The part you broke is called the accuator and the end is a round metal piece with a threaded hole in it. It's called a wearing tip and they are EASY to lose

I paid up and bought one on ebay. Missed a few complete attachments at auctions for the same cost.

I've lost more wear tips than I care to remember. Grade 8 bolt and red loctite, and they still fly off, :(

I suspect you broke the actuator arm because you were operating the system too fast. My Jari sickle bar mowers operate best at just above idle engine speed (they have governors). So, use Low on the Hi/Low lever for the Gravely and just above idle on the engine. Your tractor doesn't have a governor but one would help. I love the old Gravely tractors! Thanks for sharing.

It was broken when I bought it. I've acquired a new one and will operate it at the correct speed. My buddy grew up with these and said the same thing.

I've recently added a rotary plow and a 2nd sickle bar to my attachments and will have them out for use in summer 2024!
