Okay this is 2024, we don't need pressure washer and foam cannons. Get 2 5-gallon buckets with lids. Go to the local grocery store and fill both buckets from the RO drinking water machines at the store, this will usually be around 002 TDS water, which is spotless water. Then add 5 capfuls of DIY Rinse-Less Wash V2 to one or both of the buckets of water. Don't forget to put the lids on the buckets, and you should use some tan tape and a sharpie to label it as Rinse-Less Wash DO NOT DRINK. Next get you a cheap handheld garden pump sprayer and fill it from one of the buckets, then pre-soak the car you're washing. Get a good sponge like the Legacy sponge from DIY, or use microfiber towels, wash mitt for the contact wash. Use the bucket you filled your sprayer with to clean your wash media. Once you contact wash the whole car, starting on the roof and finishing on the front bumper, you can towel dry the car, the rinse-less is a good drying aid and I have never seen a scratch or marring using this method. The second bucket is there if you need to fill your sprayer again, you don't really have to have a 2nd bucket, but I like a spare and it's only $.50 a gallon, $2.50 for 5 gallons, from the RO machine. So yeah, you don't need to spend a lot to start your mobile detailing business. What matters at the end is the quality of the appearance of the car, I see little to no difference if I use foam or rinse-less, and maybe lean toward the rinse-less as being shinier. Yeah, pressure washers and foam cannons are more fun, but definitely not needed. Oh, I forgot to say, you can do 3 or 4 cars with one 5-gallon bucket of rinse-less wash, it's very efficient and even if it looks dirty it's still safe to use, and if you're detailing in town, you can always swing by the water machine for a fast clean refill of RO water!
