I just started my mobile mechanic business here in Louisville, Ky. Right now i only have ads on craigslist and FB market place. Im having trouble with customers actually committing to a job even after to agreeing to a time and a good price.

@@BV-Auto That is always an issue. I tell customers that I have a one hour minimum and that normally weeds out the people who do that. Now if I do the work, then that hour is just part of the labor.

Great video detailing some of the basics and general info on starting off and building from the ground up. As someone who recently took all these steps on officiating my mobile mechanic business, you’re spot on with everything. One thing I’d like to touch on is for business owners to make all forms of payment possible for their customers. Not everyone carries cash anymore and those strapped for money will often opt for credit cards to pay you. Square makes accepting CC payments easier, aside from their processing fees. Otherwise all the other payment apps should suffice. Lastly, having a way to create invoices or using a receipt transfer booklet to hand out receipts makes the business appear that much more professional.

Yeah, I did the same thing with Square and it so good. I paid to have the chip reader and the little swipe bar. That way I can always make money lol.

@@aMotoheadsGarage keep up the good work. It will always work out for us in the end, the forethought, long term vision, and ability to adapt to change.

I've been a mechanic for 17 years now and I'm just now thinking about doing brake jobs on the side as a business just because they are quick and easy.. do I need a LLC and stuff starting out?
@aMotoheadsGarage2 ай бұрын
If you want to be above board than, yes. But if you do it for cash, then it could be under the table.

@@aMotoheadsGarage I think that's how going to start out.. strictly cash friends family etc and see where can go
