I really suggest getting a 30-40 liter oil-less aircompressor. You can often find them second hand for quite cheap. This combined with a LVLP spray gun is more than enough for painting bike parts. And for cleaning they're just a complete game changer.

Having enough space is very important to work with passion. You did a great job. I hope that you will easily solve the FZR issues. Waiting for the next video of this kind. Cheers.

I put a bunch of magnetic strips on the walls of my garage, they are awesome. You can basically stick most metal stuff on them.

Those are great for the front edge of shelves as well.

For the FZR : check also the ignition switch, sometimes they wear out of, due to water exposure they corrode and you get no power distribution it's a pain... For the lighting: switch to the LED projectors it pays off in time as they use less power and they don't give off that much heat. As I am just building my garage I'm thinking of installing als led lighting to avoid the annoying fluorescent light flickering. Best wishes from Romania, long term subscriber!

Great work! If the landlord allows for it you could mount shelves on the wall above the worktable to store various sprays, common wrenches, allens and toxes. That wooden bed frame looks like a good candidate :). On another note I'm actually supprised that you found all tools from the red box :). for lighting there are really inexpensive led rolls, also there are relatively cheap led projectors similar to the halogen monster you got. Ina nay case many good things started in a garage so keep it up :)

Do you have manuals and a screen larger than your phone to view them on? Paper manuals are also cheap for vintage bikes. Keep an eye out for ideas that will save precious shop space. A lift table is a very good idea, with your stature your back will thank you. Also remember to buy extra 10mm sockets, they go missing first. Are you able to erect a partition of plastic sheeting between the two sides of the garage? This will help reduce the area you are heating. You are entering a wonderful time in your biker life, congratulations!

It‘s worth considering working on the one carb of your Honda XL500 before attempting a bank of four carbs from the Fzr1000. That‘ll be an easy introduction for learning and familiarising yourself on the internals.

Miles I really admire the mental you have on things. What I mean by that is that a lot of ppl, (including me) most of the time only see three on the roads instead of solutions (we use this reference in the Netherlands I hope you understand what I mean). You just act up and do it no matter the things you have to sacrifice. Can't afford rental in home town? Okay fine I'll drive an hour so I can make it work. Man maybe I keep repeating myself but big respect. Hope you had great holidays. *IMO the royal enfield looks great with the scrambler look, keep it!

@@Bald_Fat_Igor definitely won’t don’t worry. The problem with Donut Media and so on is that they got bought by private equity firms. I think I am save from that 😂😂😂

Honestly, shit happens to off the showroom floor, brand new bikes! So I’m sure that after you do the diagnostics you will find the problem and solution! Hopefully it’s nothing major. Also, building your own workshop is a fantastic idea! It can be a bit costly getting all the tools you will need, but it’s well worth the investment in the long run! I personally like the Scrambler setup you currently have because of the various types of terrain you ride on! Awesome. 😎🏍️💨✌️
