Hi guys, I’m back!! After a somewhat long break from journaling as well as from all of my accounts I’m finally back! I recently got a new journal to have a fresh new start at journaling and I’m so excited about it! It’s also my first time owning a midori notebook which is just as exciting!
I also finally got my very own desk which is why the setting is very different and the video also looks dark. I’ve always filmed in the garden but now I finally get to film inside my bedroom which makes things more comfortable for me and I could also film some videos during the night which is a big advantage for a morning student like me! I hope you guys could get used to the dark setting because that’ll be what my future videos would look like! 😂

🎏 N O T E : (PLEASE READ!!) - so a lot of people have been asking me why I decided to start a new journal when I could’ve just finished my previous one and I’m basically wasting money. Most of you guys haven’t seen one of my ig stories but just in case let me clarify that I have been unmotivated and uninspired for this whole year and have almost decided to delete my account as I’ve been losing interest in journaling. Every spread I made left me unsatisfied and I have wanted to just throw away my journal because I really didn’t like how my spreads were going no matter how hard I try. I’ve been really frustrated because I want to journal again but I haven’t been in the best mood to be able to do so and have lost time to be able to journal because of school. If you guys have also noticed I’ve been more inactive in the past few months and that’s because I decided to go on a hiatus and decide what I really want to do and I’ve decided to come back to my accounts after I have calmed down a bit and promised to be back with a much more motivated and inspired me. I’ve decided to change for the better which is why I have started a new journal. I hope you guys understand that I didn’t want to start a new one JUST TO WASTE MONEY, I started a new one because I want to change and improve and become a better version of what I can be. This is my OWN DECISION and my OWN CHOICE and I’m happy with it, I have no regrets, please allow me to grow as a journal account the way I want to :) - if you guys are wondering why I have left a lot of pages blank on my previous journal is because those are pages meant for spreads I have initially planned but have not been able to start, and I also used to stick two pages together as the ink ghosts a bit and I felt uncomfortable so some blank pages are also those that I have forgot to stick together - another thing is that you guys may have noticed that I usually skip a page or two in the beginning of a journal and have been asking why. It is not required to do so but this is the way I have always started notebooks (ALL MY NOTEBOOKS) since I was in grade school. I like to skip the first page a lot because it gives me a blank start before actually going on to pages with my writings because I like it when the first thing I see when opening my notebooks is a clean blank first page. I know it can be confusing and annoying to some but it’s just the way I like to do things. I hope this clarifies a lot of questions you guys have been asking me :) Keep inspired!! 💖

Honestly, I don't think you have to give an explanation to explain why to everyone why you did what you did. Sometimes starting in a new book is good because it gets your flowing again and you could always go back to it or journal in different ones until you find your groove again. On another, I do the same with skipping the first few pages of my notebooks or journals as well... like you said, it is nice to just have a first few pages... like you are about to dive into something good or unknown you know. It also gives me a peace of mind that someone won't see anything if they happened to peak into a more personal journal or dairy as well. I hope you find the inspiration to journal again and take it easy on yourself too. Keep it up! 👍🏻

Does anyone know why people skip so many pages in there journals? Is it a style preference or is it just because they didn't fill them out? I'm just confused.

For me personally i skip pages since some materials bleed through the paper specially wet pens and makes it look unpleasant or maybe for other people they leave pages just for spreads they planned to make but ended up not finishing them 😇

The first page after the inside cover is always uncomfortable to use, since it's the place where the inside cover sheet is glued to the actual bound book. And it is possible that she left another two pages free to create an index page later.
