Starting a shiny hoard... I swear I don't have an addiction to shiny things!

so many things can be made from these scraps. fancy quilts - baby size or lap throw. little zipper bags, appliques on to other items with the fancy floral prints. corsets, as you mentioned. and if nothing else, you can make some very pretty reusable shopping totes.
