I haven't started saving my potatoes yet but I will be very soon now that I see how you're saving yours. I never tried growing in buckets until I watched your videos. I had alot of fun trying this. Thank you for sharing. I'm looking forward to this next growing season.

I do wish very much that our potato producers, in the US, would package like yours do in the UK. Nice little bags with the names of the variety and the farmer. I guess our bags do state the farmer but they are big conglomerates with the choices now usually being called yellow or gold, russet or red. To get the different ones you need to go to the farm stores in spring and but then by the pound at crazy high prices. Or , of course. Catalog or online. Again high prices. Oh well. We'll be thankful for what we've got. I love seeing your varieties and how they hatch out in the reveals. Thank you for your great shows. Good day to you.

Hello Lou. Potato breeders are breeding new varieties year on year. They are buying into climate change and trying to breed potatoes that are more drought tolerant and use less energy to cook, among other things. Over the years on this channel I must have grown at least 20 different named varieties. When I shop for potatoes if there's a variety I haven't seen before, I have to give it a go, I just have too.
