I love watching your vlogs and getting a glimpse into your world as someone who absolutely is not an athlete! I hope you don't feel too much pressure to be positive! Saying something is hard or exhausting isn't being negative and is also just authentic to how you might be experiencing that situation! Every situation comes with challenges and acknowledging those isn't being ungrateful or negative. It's so wonderful how you share your journey and it would be such a shame if you felt like you had to portray things in a way that didn't feel true to you! You two radiate joy and positivity as is, but it would be ridiculous to expect big smiles from you all the time! Thank you so much for making these vlogs that are so wonderful to watch and wishing you a great start back into training!

2:24; Love the shade 😂 Can't believe y'all are already back in training! In '25, more sub 50s for Laviai after the 49.87 PB breakthrough & a sub 54s 400mH PB for Lina would be awesome culminating with a place each in the new 9-lane WC 400m/400mH Finals respectively in Tokyo 🤞 Would be great if Lina ends up at least #3 on the GB All-Time 400mH List by the end of '25 :) Ama's a great addition to the group, would be cool if more of GB's non-US based quarter-milers like Victoria were also part of the training group :) Speaking of, s/o Jodie Williams who recently announced her retirement, made the bold move up to the 400m in '21 that paid off with sub 50s runs in the Tokyo OLY 400m Semi & Final races 👏

Wow, as they say, an athlete's work is never done. It's great to have you back! And for people like myself who are ardent athletics fans, as well as people who are followers of other sports, this is a welcome reminder of how hard Track and Field athletes have to work almost all year round to achieve the glory we all love to watch. OMG I felt the pain in your sessions! But this is what it takes to get on that podium! As always thank you for this insight into your inner world. We love it! Keep up the good work girls.😊

resting and recovering, a bit of running and general fitness here and there, but our bodies really needed the rest!

A couple of sled tips if I may... if "full extension/drive" is the goal, perhaps add a little more weight- as you were all having to regulate your speed, suggesting it's a little too light. Also if poss' get a longer strap/rope- as the angle is a little to large which tends to lift the front on the sled a little...

It has taken me a whole year to separate you too and it's down to this. Lina runs 400mh with puma. Lavia runs 400m with Adidas. Now should you not be in your branded clothing then, Lina usually has her hair in a tight ponytail and Lavia usually has the vlog camera. Look it's not a sure science but that's all I have come up with. You guys are the most identical twins I have ever seen. Comment if you have a system of telling them apart

Why don't you use distance spikes when the track is slippery?
@Rc-hh2qu2 ай бұрын
Cross country spikes are the way to go over winter on soaking wet tracks. A running flat with grip.
@linalaviainielsen8362 ай бұрын
coach wanted no spikes for this block! protect the feet - also the spikes used in cross country spikes are too long for track use
@Rc-hh2qu2 ай бұрын
Totally get looking after the feet. Both of my children had multiple stress fractures when they were high level juniors from too much sprint spike use. Luckily living in Melbourne we were in and around some high profile sports therapists that opened our eyes on the importance of looking after the feet. Once we moved to more grass and bare foot training off the tartan tracks it didn’t happen again. XC spikes have a cushioned sole and are very forgiving. Spikes can be changed also to track length. Great to see you back in training and sharing your journey to more future success.

Love this stuff. I would like to share something personally that I've been through that nobody quite prepared me for. I would love for the both of you to be successful in all your goals and dreams outside of track, especially if motherhood is a desire. To keep things short, Freeze your eggs if you haven't already. Blessings
@leahmcdermott41892 ай бұрын
Sheesh, this is kinda rude and intrusive. They are only 28, no need to freeze their eggs (plus a lot of people don’t want to do that). They are still young. My mother had me at 38 and we are best friends. Please let them live their life and have an amazing career before suggesting ideas around motherhood. You don’t even know if they want children, pretty insensitive 🙄
