I really like the change I see in Darcy. She seems more true to herself now, starting to figure out her feelings and to accept them, just like they are. That is a very exciting point in a story for me. I feel like Emily did this too, accept what she needs and run with it, whereas Steph ... to me it sometimes feels like she's faking it for herself. She does what she THINKS is right, but barely ever what she feels deep in herself. It's all such exciting character work though, great job by all the actors, and the writers as well. This is all very real, very important, and I enjoy it a lot.

seem as though everyone is hoping for emily and step, emily will be just fine, she's very strong, honest and upfront. Kristen will also be OK, she needs someone who is more independent and not easily overtaken. from the beginning there was a connection between step and darcey because step has a since of calm that until now wasn't so apparent, which is what darcey need for her to get the strength to fight. a good thing isn't always what's best. step needs darcey, just as much as darcey needs step. so I hope their journey continues because everyone needs a since of calm when there's inner turmoil. that's what step has and thats what make step an darcey so magnetic. Kristen and emily can't give that to darcey and step. step gives that to darcey and I think darcey will step up and be that for step. let's stay transparent. just saying. Great Episode. Great Stories.😉!

Something I don't understand is why the sexual assault is only affecting Darcy now (this season)? Was it a repressed memory up until this point? It just seems like it came out of nowhere. Also, will we never find out what Darcy did when she went away? She mentioned being in Thailand, but.... I thought that something significant must've happened, but so much time has passed since she came back that I don't think we will ever find out :( I felt like it was set up that she had something REALLY important to tell Steph when she came back b/c she kept insisting on sitting her down & talking to her. But now it seems that nothing of consequence happened, and she just wanted to placate Steph for disappearing.

Sadly, I don't care about Darcy or her storyline however sad it may be. It's stalling the series from moving on. I think the main plot needed to shift so much sooner, but the whole Darcy/Steph thing went on too long & they never had a healthy relationship. Why waste so much time on so much negative? This series started off really good & went downhill. I felt like Emily & Steph should've been together from the start. They've always had an unspoken connection that still hasn't gone away & so much time was wasted while they could've been developing them as at least friends to start. 5 series in & they're still not together?

That wasn't exactly my point. I meant they wasted a lot of time on so much negativity that really did nothing to advance the plot at all. I would've liked to see a lot more Steph & Emily development. After the first season or so, the series shifted into like 3 different shows instead of one cohesive storyline. I never implied life is just rainbows & happiness.

I never said it was ALL about Steph & Emily, but it would've been nice to see more development there for a couple that was endgame. IMO, Emily was the best character & wasn't shown enough. We never really got to see them as a couple. Don't know why you seem to have such a problem with my opinion. To be honest, there wasn't a lot of "character development" until the very end of the series to tie everything up & give everyone peace.

+_Foreverblondes well I feel like the point of this show is all about decisions. Steph chose to sabotage her relationship by cheating and the lawyer girl chose to turn to drugs rather than coping in. a healthy way. Darcy may have been a catalyst but it's not her fault that everyone else's life spiraled. it was all on them. And even though its hard and steph and emily have good chemistry, Emily really does deserve a lot better than Steph. I mean she even gave her so many chances and this is still the outcome. I feel this drama is pretty true to life as far as dramas go. you can't really control everything and each decision you makes sets you on a spiraling course towards whatever path you've chosen. that's the infuriating beauty of this series.
