Starting FROST as a GHOUL in the GLOWING SEA!

The yearly Frost run is here! This time with a twist - a ghoul with no memory wakes up at a crashed vertibird unaware of what happened to him or the world. Radiation cannot harm him, but there are many downsides to being a ghoul. Some of these are: -Chems last 30% as long. -Every faction except one will attack on sight unless you are wearing a mask. Additionally, I am not planning to use power armor for this run.

Thank you! I was super nervous about this before releasing it, because it's so different. I'm so happy that everyone seems to be enjoying my more "serious" take on roleplay. It's a little more mentally exhausting to stay "in character" but it's been a nice challenge, in additon to playing Frost with no power armor and having only one life (as if that weren't enough challenge lol).

C'mon algorithm, where was this hiding! Couple weeks ago, unsatisfied with Starfield's lack of survival mechanics, I decided to check how Frost was going. I fired up Vortex and checked for updates, and the amount of work they've done on it is inspiring. Ended up adding Better Locational Damage, Craftable Ammo, Switchable Ammo Types, VAFS, Gas Masks of the Wasteland, then stripping the HUD way down, getting rid of the ammo counter and all other faff for extra immersion. Went into xEdit and made alcohol get rid of rads over the course of 10mins, and tweaked bandages to heal more slowly. Crazy good fun, so glad to get another Wandy PermaFrost playthrough!

First off, the new series already rocks. The RP is 👌 the melee combat, which is 🔥 the knowledge of the game 🍻 and the skill level is ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Am I brown nosing? Yes. Do I care? Obviously, not. Wow, it's pretty jarring seeing how much softer the start is on the ghoul than the human. They just hand you power armor?

That isn't a ghoul start, it's just the glowing sea start. And you still get lots of rads and only a 25% core that burns out very fast. I started my ghoul there for rp purposes. That's why he's a ghoul - crash landed in the glowing sea while being transported to a certain base. Most people would have died, but if you know the story of Frost, you'll know that the player is a bit special.

Nope, doing my audio post effects a little differently after talking to an audio engineer about some of the problems that slow me down during editing - one of those being that I have to manually adjust gain in various sections where I am too loud or way too quiet. So now I do "match loudness" to give a more consistent gain level throughout the commentary without having to do tedious manual adjustments. The one downside is that I think it amplifies breath/mouth/keyboard sounds too much, though most of that is removed by a noise gate before the match loudness effect is applied.

@@davidclingerman7668 if you played any Fallout 4 and did the Diamond city blues quest Trish says : What, you don't know? Ferals don't bother us normal ghouls, I don't know why. Maybe we taste bad or something. But as i said FROST is a relic of the old school type of modding : make a game hard just to be hard and not justify why is hard and why you shouldn't use Fallout 4 broken engine to make a " Hardcore" game

Imma give it another shot. Hopefully nothing is slated for release that will derail this playthrough. I bailed on the last frost, bg3 and had zero interest in starfield. For me starfield was ass. I gotta be very picky about what I watch and play. I live off grid in the middle of the desert and bandwidth is limited. Starfield would've been a 5day dowload on the steam deck through my phone hotspot. I would've been pissed if I did that.
