Oh the furniture in some of thos shops was mouth wateringly gorgeous. The two pieces that had a similar look almost like they were a matching set had the most beautiful burl on it 😍😍 Fingers crossed that the Judge makes a good decision 😊

Some really awesome stuff in the second hand shops, I absolutely love the old workbench and the campaign chest opposite with the brass flush folding handles. The old radios are also one of my favourites. You wouldn't want to take me along with you to those sorts of shops lol, I love it.🫣❤️

Yes that is an excellent idea for a rustic bathroom! Hahaha, that exactly what Anna said about that mini sofa, unfortunately we just can't go around shopping furniture just yet, we need to stay focused on getting the basic interior finished first.

May I suggest a basin that sits on top of the vanity. Like paying respect to the style of the furniture.

Yes but there is two problems with that, firstly the basin would be very high up and secondly, we do have one of those in our stables bathroom and it's such a mess around the basin, there is always water next to it and it's such a mess. The wood wouldn't be able to handle that.

The antiquing was fun - I'd have to take pictures and measurements with me to make things fit and you guys need a flat bed or a horse trailer to go shopping with ha ha.

We would need scaffolding surrounding the whole building to do so and we would then have to do all of the work at the same time as we cant leave the scaffolding there for months and now is not the time to do any sort of plastering on external walls so we are taking it bit by bit when we feel like it.

Why are you looking at furniture when you are not ready for it…seems a complete waste of time and energy to me. Better to get a room ready so you have somewhere to put things.

We are not looking for furniture, I were looking for a bookshelf as we are incorporating one into the bedfram we are going to build in the office, hence the stores. We already have quite a lot of furniture so we are in no stress of getting new ones, but whenever you find something you really like you need to get it as these sort of things never show up again.
