Love this channel been in and out of mtg over the years getting back into it. Getting help in a card shop is often one of thw worst experiences you have in mtg. Had one local shop try to charge .50 a basic land dont get ripped off and support the places that make you feel welcome!

Lol, I’m in the exact same situation. I wanted to dip my toes into the game because of the cute Bloomburrow art, but my local game shop didn’t have any starter kits “because no one buys them.” I got talked into paying twice as much for a commanding deck (whatever that means) but it had zero instructions and I don’t even think all the cards are Bloomburrow-themed? Left a bad taste in my mouth, probably won’t go back to that shop anytime soon.

I am also learning how to play magic. A friend suggested I start because I would like the bloomburrow art. I started playing MTG Arena and it is ok, I think I am having an easier time learning because I played Hearthstone for a while and it feels very similar. I will probably like commander better once I get a feel for how everything works.

I’ve played arena game and am getting into actually collecting and playing in real life, I believe the copy cards or tokens are used to represent a summoned creature a card u play can summon 😊

Accidentally started collecting Pokemon a couple weeks ago. I’m pot committed on a Pokemon master set..Wish I would’ve started with MTG. I’ll be making the switch soon. Any other recommendations are appreciated.

These are not the best decks for anything beyond learning. I'd encourage bundles and boosters. Sera Redeemer is a great card! Token creatures and tokens are 2 different things. I'd recommend a set of D and D dice to keep track of life and tokens

Digital version is trash compared to the real game in person. your wife should totally try it once. Its like a board game. If shes not having fun after a 20 minute game then no loss haha
