Professor, can you elaborate on what makes side-loader inner sleeves so bad, or potentially damaging? A quick tutorial on how to get (and keep) all the air out when using top loaders would also be helpful. No matter what I do, they keep getting "puffy" over time.
@Vildhjuggah2 жыл бұрын
I know this is an old thread but the professor says sideloader can damage your cards, not only that they wont protect them as well as toploaders. Actually causing damage on their own and not protecting as well as toploaders are two different things. (I say while I scroll through trying to find a proper answer because I'm double sleeving my new deck and I've put side loaders on and am waiting for the rest of the cards to come in the mail before I do the second layer)
@resentfulshrimp80448 ай бұрын

I kinda hope someday there might be an extra long or maybe even double wide version someday? I make larger than 360 cubes and while the classic holds a 360 double sleeved cube with room for basics for a perfect 8 person draft, I have a 480 cube I wish I could put double sleeved in a single quiver with both lands and tokens for taking to a cube night with my larger ones. But my fellow cube brewers, I say you definitely should check out the quiver and see how well it works for you. And the KMC plastic box is my favorite card storage system, plus i love to put stickers from artist i follow on twitter and such all over them!

Just to add on the inner sleeves. I have had tightness issues with KMC a few years ago. Tried to contact KMC, they didn't even respond. I swapped to Dragon Shields and everything went well until about a month ago when I had several packs too tight. I contacted Dragon Shield, they replied within a week, asked for visual proof, a receipt, etc, and gave me a full refund through Paypal. So in terms of Customer Support Dragon Shield has an A+. Since my refund, I bought 4 more packs Dragon Shield inners from a different batch. 1 pack had sleeves that were too loose, 1 pack had sleeves that were too tight, the other 2 were "just" about right with a few sleeves mixed in between that were either too loose or too tight. So I think Dragon Shield, perhaps due to Covid, is having some quality control issues. I did not contact them for yet another refund, instead I have moved back to KMC for a bit until I know the LGS has a 100% new batch. I did let my LGS know about the issues as well. I know I should likely boycot KMC due to their poor customer service, but, the brand has always been great until I ran into issues once, so I'll give it the benefit of the doubt for now.

one product the Professor didn't mention, but is a good item for Storage/Transport is the Stanley 10 compartment box organizer. Less than 20 dollars, each compartment can hold 100+ double sleeved cards, really good latches, TOUGH AS NAILS (because it was meant to hold nails and such)... yeah.

I personally don’t care what videos you make. I usually watch them all eventually. Lmao! I was tired from work. Even asked one job just to stay home today, because it didn’t look like they needed me today. Slept from 3am till 1pm, played some Arena and other game’s with friends, ate some left overs, and I’ve been at my other job since 6pm. I didn’t watch anybody else’s videos either. Oh, and also did some shopping on Amazon, because I’m a terrible human being that can’t just go across the street to get the things I need.

I don’t get the not-being-notified thing. I don’t think I missed a single video being advertised to me. I am always happy for these to come out.

Just want to shout out to quiver. The upper level of my house flooded due to a leaky toilet and dripped from the ceiling onto my collection downstairs. If it wasnt for the quiver, and its water resistance, my entire collection would have been ruined. I only bought one because of a previous recommendation video from you and i cannot thank you enough.

Items I've bought on the Prof's recommendation, none of which have disappointed: The PirateLab Messenger Bag, the Dragon Shield 12 Pocket Codex, Ultimate Guard Arkhive (x2), and I just ordered the Gamegenic Dungeon for my bro for Xmas (one of the last on the internet, apparently). I'm sure bro won't be let down either by this man's fantastic taste and reviews.

I'm in Europe so I didn't buy my items through the Professor's affiliate links, but I must say it is all thanks to the Professor that I've bought two Arkhives and 6 or 7 (or 8?) Boulders, and I've been very happy with them.
