OMG I love your vlogs and your personality ! The tote bag + zipper pouch combo would be great! A bag for art things and a pouch for small bits or pencils for on the go (I would def use these 💚)

Hey cool peeps -- pls explain, I'm so lost -- why are vectors important? Is that why everyone makes stickers in Procreate and then sends them to wizard school in Illustrator? I searched youtube, but I still don't get it : ( ;;;

Hi! Just going to jump in here: Vectors are good to use when the image will go through resizing (enlarging usually, as scaling down doesn't seem to be as bad as scaling up). When vectors are resized, the crispness of the images will be retained. Non-vector drawing (raster files/images) relies on the pixels of your canvas. If you were to resize a non-vector image, it won't be crisp anymore, as the computer will try to calculate and make up for the missing pixels. That's the general idea; correct me if I'm wrong though lol For sticker/art print purposes, if you use a large canvas size at 300dpi, you can scale down the image for the correct size and your art SHOULD still be crisp. Best to plan ahead! I would use a canvas size a little bigger than the largest print /sticker/product you plan to do. I'm not sure why stickers would be made in Procreate and then going into illustrator, other than for making cut-lines for manufacturers. It's possible that they go in to recreate their art as vectors?

@@CutieKats thank you for the detailed explanation! i think it’s exactly as you said (artists creating vectors with their raster files in illustrator to be used on other products/branding later on). i think i’ll try not to complicate things and stick to procreate rn, using your advice to increase canvas size and resize before printing. appreciate the help ✨✨✨
