paula , what are some things i need to get in the kitchen that will elevate my cooking game?

@@dr.johnyoo Definitely a bowl to wash your stuff in! 😂 I would suggest looking for a rice washing bowl made out of steel (you can also use it for vegetables etc.) Otherwise your kitchen looks really well equipped! I would always suggest the first thing you should do is to build the basic supply of spices you always need. Like parsley, basil, thyme... (I recently took care of the cats of a friend and they didn't have any spices in their house because they never cook and it made me absolutely crazy 🙈😂). It looks like you already have the basic seasoning for Asian dishes there otherwise I would have definitely suggested to always have soy sauce (light and dark), Mirin, Sake and Dashi at hand because you can just need it for so many dishes. And not necessary but something that I personally really love as a gadget: I have vacuum containers for my fridge (mine are by "Zwilling"). Through that system stuff stays fresh longer and it really helps when you are busy and can't go shopping that often and still want to cook with fresh ingredients regularly. (#notsponsored😂)

If you're going to grill get a green egg (it's like a ceramic oven grill, & supposed to be healthier/ less carcinogenics...than regular grilling.) & some different woods for smoking - grilling salmon or meats - vegetables. (The green egg supposed to be safer, fire wise, too. So you could grill on back porch without burning down your home, hopefully.)
