Let’s go man! You’re not old just wise mate. Use that wisdom , never second guess yourself, double check, then discuss. Experience is overconfidence and sometimes as a rookie pilot you have to pull rank. Know the plane enough to be able to alert your trainer to issues he might miss, you can’t know everything, but forums and reading the manual is a great start. Always be okay saying no. You can always say “let’s fly tomorrow,” but you can’t say “let’s land tomorrow”. I can see you’re into it, so you’ve probably already got this down but always gotta say it! You’re going to do great mate! Best of luck and hope to see you in the skies someday🫡

Hey Scott! The algorithm handed me this one as I am one of those who has always wanted to fly, but has never made it a priority. I will likely never pursue Commercial (it's never been something I wanted to do), but at 39 - your story resonates with me and I'm looking forward to following along. Subscribed as a result! It would be cool to get a student's view on things like ground school, exam prep, equipment, costs over and above your flight hours, etc. - all the best Scott! Good luck on your new adventure!

@@TravelWithScott I am enjoying the $100 hamburger! Too old for anything else. I am just finishing my Weedhopper ultralight build and then I will most likely get a Light Sport. @@TravelWithScott A plane I rent, yesterday, the person before me had left the Master Switch on for 2.5 hours. But the Hobbs did not advance.
