This week we start on the new bathroom in our French country home. Lots of work ahead but great to get started. Share with us your ideas how you would make this new bathroom. We finally also paint our new kitchen door shutters.

I learnt from another Chateau rennovation show, that when using tape to guide you when painting a room, one should use a hairdryer over the painting tape before peeling it off, to prevent paint bleeding from pulling the tape off.

You will be drawn into a world that you cannot imagine, yet you will find that you deeply, soulfully recognize it... as Human above all else....Sorry, I am not eloquent enough to convey the beauty of this Art.

You may want to put a thin layer of insulation on the ceiling, since you have the height. Don't know if it is really needed, but it might not hurt!

It makes sense to create a space for a basin for the toilet then board it up. Great plan for the bathroom/ laundry room/ storage space. Excitng stuff

My gosh, I hadn't noticed that the ceilings were so high, are they all that high on the main floor?. I must say I think it would be much easier and cost beneficial just to throw a layer of sheetrock up on that ceiling. You're only going to lose two centimeters and that ceiling must be 10 ft it's beautiful Great work guys. It must kill you to have to leave

We could but would be a lot more work. So to keep on budget we will keep them separate.
