I loved what you said about the books you weren't going to read again. I think it's so important to be careful about the messages our little people hear, even in the books we read to them.

I don’t want to say this to put pressure on you, but I envy you as a mom! 🫶🏼 You are so phenomenal with both of your girls. ❤️ You are so intentional in life (cooking, meal prepping, exercising, teaching your girls, playing with your girls, being an outstanding wife, spending time with your parents and siblings, devoting all areas of your life to Christ, etc.) I’m just so thankful I have found your channel and for all the videos you have made. 🥰 Plus, I LOVE the scriptures you put in the description box. 🥹🙏🏼

I saw the cutest idea a while back on Instagram of making play dough balls, and then using a kids hammer or something of the like to practice counting as you smash them. I just thought that was so cute and fun, and plan to do it with my young kiddos this year! Trying to broaden my ideas of play based learning! I loved the way you did thank you cards for your daughters bday and let her watercolor them! That was such a fun idea!!

Cara I have missed your videos but totally understand that you need to be with your children more. Soak it in and enjoy every minute of these days. These are the best years of your life you just don't realize it sometimes while going through it. Your are doing a wonderful job with your girls. Teach your girls about Jesus, you are setting a beautiful foundation for their lives. May the Lord bless you and keep keep you under the shadow of his wings. ❤

My son (age2) hates the sprinkler in our yard so so much it’s never a hit but he loves the splash pad. Sometimes he has to eat a snack when we first get there and watch other kids but he always gets in there and has a blast.

Hey! My daughter is 4 and will be starting school this fall. I am a kindergarten teacher and with the knowledge I have gained over the years about what a child needs to know when they start school I developed a routine this summer of activities we I can do with her to prepare her. We do lots of singing Alphardy song, total body movement Bible verse memorization and counting. We review the alphabet in writing. I have seen her learn and grow in the last month.

Hey Cara! Such a cute summer vlog! Though I miss seeing the girls! That drink looks so good, I'm going to need to try that! I also LOVE having the windows open. Unfortunately, it's been way too warm here for that. Not to mention all the smoke from the Canada fires. We also are waiting on preschool until Fall of 2024 for Leo. We have been doing classroom setting kind of classes at our local YMCA for some more structure and socialization with other kiddos and it's been great! Any summer trips planned? Hope all is good and well. All the best, -Clarissa 😊❤🥰

I just love how intentional you are in your parenting, and it’s so inspiring to me! A lot of times I do refer back to some past videos where you’ve shared so many fun learning activities that you’ve done with the girls, and my kids (the older ones) will ask to do the activities that Quinn did! So some of the fun learning activities that you can do with the girls outside are nature walks! I think this is great for any age (mine are now 8, 6, and 2) and it really peaks their interest, and there is always something new to learn about nature. A nature center is also a great place to start, and sometimes they offer free activities, hands on learning and interactive demos, and a lot of times provide nature scavenger hunts and different activities each week. And it’s free, so there’s that! Also great for rainy days!

Hi Cara! I'll honestly be sad for you when you move. You and Eric work so hard to make your house a beautiful home. 💛 But change is good, hah. Ohh I get the children's book thing. I used to read 'Llama Llama red pajama' and was confused as to why my toddler would scream for me after I put her to sleep... 🥴 (Not sure if you're familiar with that book but basically, this Llama screams for his mom over and over again, after going to bed.) Someone brought that book up when I talked about that behavior and I immediately got rid of that book. No problems since. 😅 Yum! That drink looks amazing 😍 Already pinned it on Pinterest 😅 Oh no! Hope Eric can fix your camera! Do you have any tips on having your toddler practice writing? Loved this video! Can't wait for the next one! Have a great day! 😊

Good for you! I wouldn't let my children (who are probably around your age) watch Rugrats or anything else that would teach them to be disrespectful.
