I bought the Battletome first and wonder if it would be possilbe (instead of getting a Vanguard box) to go with a Fuethàn list with a Bloodshiver, 2 Allopexes, and a Akhelian King?

Fun fact: Fuethan is MY brand of Deepkin and I’m doing 4 or 5 Sharks and an Akhelian King. So that’s a good route to go!

Start Collecting + King Sythus Nemmetar - The Bloodsurf Hunt + Akhelian Morrsarr Guard 1000/1000 Ionrach - King (General, Unstoppable Fury, Savage Ferocity, Arcane Tome) - Soulscryer (Curse) - 2x3 Morrsarr Guard - 1x2 Allopex (Harpoon) But better list for 1k (and a lot pricier) is 50 Thralls, Allopex, Thrallmaster and 2x Soulrender. Majority of the list you can find in Fury of the Deep box, makes sense only if you can sell Dwarfs for 60-65$. Other parts are in 2x Vanguard + Thralls box, only makes sense if you commit to the collecting deepkins. In Mor'phan it has better reanimation than SBGL. Hit like a truck, stacking buffs and one time death fingers from Soulrenderers.

I like the first list, but the old Start Collecting and Broken Realms boxes aren’t readily available which is why I didn’t include them. I’ve always been a fan of Namarti lists, just committing to painting that many pseudo intricate dudes is a task for those dedicated seafolk as you said.

I would like to, but they have a 2nd edition tome still! That being said, I’m (almost) certain their next battletome is in Spring via the roadmap they released.

@Swolehammer Do battetomes often come with a box set, new models, or only sometimes as with the STD? I'm just wondering if I should wait to buy any more soulblight models.

New models come out with a faction’s tome. Soulblight will probably get one or two but they got a whole range update in 2nd edition already, so probably nothing major.
