As for plugins, it really depends on the type of music you’re looking to produce. There is a limitless supply of options, but some can be better for certain genres. One instrument bundle that I know to be pretty versatile is the ‘Arturia V Collection’. It has a bunch of classic piano and synth emulations that work for a multitude of genres.
