I did this for about a year, my best month was $28k. Once you hit volume it starts to be a lot of work, eg answering emails, tracking orders, managing your float. You will need to hire someone fairly quickly. Due to life circumstances I stopped sadly.

The only huge downside is the production and shipping time. It took 2+ weeks for my customers to receive their products and they were not happy. This got me excited. I opened an account on Printify...opened an account on Etsy...made several shirt designs (great designs-I believe)... and only to find out there is a listing fee and among other fees and account requirements before I can actually start to sell on Etsy. I don't have a credit card either--"my bad.." Not your fault Josh.. I should have made my own research before hand. Anyways, I saw a lot of videos on "successes" on Etsy so I believe this is a great way to start a business. I am definitely going through with the biz. It’s not as easy as it seems, guys. There are a ton of costs for hosting and flags you have to go through in order to list your designs. If you have original designs, it might be easier to just get a vendor to print them but they charge you per sale on these hosting sites. Plus it takes a while to make a profit. Not impossible but not as simple as it seems. And it takes hours or a few days to get started

The "issue" here is how does one stand out with the hundreds and thousands of other t-shirts on Etsy. There’s a lot of factors that could help you rank better than others such as researching and using the best keywords which would optimize (seo), using all the product tags for each listing, and even using quality mock-ups when presenting your product but there’s more to it than just that but I would say those are pretty big when it comes to your setup

I started a Redbubble store 2 weeks ago, and Etsy is next. The main negative to Etsy is you have to handle customer service. Redbubble does it for you. You just upload designs and hopefully collect royalties. I work a 50+ hr per week dead end job, so I don't have a lot of time for customer service. These sites are a part of my retirement plan. I will start uploading books to Amazon KDP soon also. Keep up the great videos. Thanks

@@Neil-914 Not yet. Odds are you need a few hundred designs uploaded before one gets a sale. Not quick money. But once you have a large selection it can start being a source of income, maybe. Not fast money, not easy. But free.

Things I have been learning with all these types of quit your job videos. There is one common factor. Create an affiliate network with as many connections and modalities as possible. Then get people excited about clicking on them spending money on these affiliates and essentially what I see is. We should create the capstone get it in place, then create excitement and hype to get people involved to build the pyramid beneath. Pretty smart I like it, worked well for Amway and many other companies.
