Enjoying your videos. I've done a fair share of 2 and 3 drop, and notice that when using doubled thread, particularly size D Nymo, the needle tends to catch on the thread from the previous row. This REALLY hampers undoing beadwork from the beginning towards the direction of your beadwork. So, if possible, I try my best to avoid catching my thread from the previous rows as I build my rows. Just a personal observation!☺️

Yes, catching your thread creates huge hassles. Particularly if it is doubled. I dont double my thread. I do use size D nymo. The beadwork creates such a strong matrix with every bead having been gone through twice, that I stopped doubling my thread for net based beadwork systems like gourd stitch. I have never had a problem with it. If you DO NOT double your thread, you can take the needle off and pull the thread back through easily even if you did catch the other thread somewhere along the way. I usually use size 11 beads and it is nearly impossible to get 4 threads through each bead not to mention the times you need to get even more through.

Thank you for your video. However, I know this stitch as "tubular peyote." I disagree that this is 2 drop as that requires picking up 2 beads at a time while skipping 2 beads. I watched the entire episode waiting for there to be 2 beads at some point. Only one bead was picked up at a time which makes it regular peyote. So, just a bit of my experience on bead tension. So that they don't flare, tug the thread after each bead goes through the next bead. That will put it in its place. Consistent tension is very important. Of course, this is how they work for me.
