there is a servo that releases rail line preasure it is voltage senitive meaning no voltage no fuel also cranking with low voltage can damage the voltage side of the starter or called welding the washers which can result in starter run away or a low voltage starter fire, May i suggest water and block heaters and a winter pan on the engine to keep in warmth also possibly battery warmers, the rear engine cover makes a great tent top for a blast heater if all else fails, Enjoy the cold.

The cummins B series engine is usually a very good starter in cold weather, we have 20 of them with alison gearboxes powering Dennis Dart buses. The only problem we get, is air leaking into the fuel system, which any good mechanic will tell you is VERY bad for reliable starting of a diesel engine. I still prefer the Cummins L10 though, lovely piece of engineering!

@dannyking98-Yes, the key has to be turned to on in the ignition to start it from the back. Its just an auxillary starter circuit, not an ignition bypass.
@matts429014 жыл бұрын
No, its an auxillary start. It also starts with the key in the ignition.

@bryangullickson: yes, our engines are computer controlled, even if, they are reliable & good for 200 Kmiles, even TDI´s are available as V8, sound great, at have the fuel economy of american 4-bangers, but having 350+ horsepower --> your´s are just lightyears behind.

the blue bird all american is a nice bus but, what engine have this an internatinal or a cummins 5.9?
@joserafaelgrangefuenmayor77442 жыл бұрын
El autobús cuesta encender; porqué tiene el arranque dañado; pensaba que la batería estaba descargada; cambian de baterías para hacer el intento; pero nada; le cambian el arranque; y logra intentar encender el autobús y lo encendió; saludos y buenas noches.

good video/i saw it, caught my eye because i drive a bus like that for work, you know about having it in neutral to start it & checking if the air brakes/spring brake test? are good/working? this one looks like a nice one/we call those "pushers" cause the engine is in the back!!

@mcloft2 Blue Bird makes a great bus, and Cummins makes a great engine!!!! They are reliable and good for 250 thousand miles

@smiffy1071 We have 3 L10's in various pierces of machinery, including a highway tractor, and 4 B series 5.9's also in various pieces of machinery. We love the the L10's simply because they are so simple, there really is nothing to it meaning not much can go wrong. the 5.9's are also wonderful because again there is nothing that can wrong with them really. If they get abused obviously they won't last but other wise they are perfect.
