This is how I'm going to assemble the battery pack for my solar accumulator (solar generator).

Following this with great interest. It’ll be great to see how you get on with charging this pack, it’s something I’ve wanted to build but to charge it by solar power. Can’t wait to see how it develops 👍

Catching up, liking the ideas and progress to this point. Another advantage I'm thinking with the fuse wire connections is you don't need as much heat to solder them on as you would have with a nickel strip type connection 👍

The fuse wire idea wasn't mine. It's been used in the DIY power wall scene for some years. It's actually a really good way if keeping the cells safe from over charge and over discharge situations. Just make sure all the cells a balanced before soldered the fuse wire to them. ;)

@@johnnodge4327 Yeah I've seen the idea used on other videos, I was a bit torn about the idea of soldering on nickel strips (don't have a spot welder) as didn't want to put that much heat in, so the fuse wire seems a way to reduce the soldering heat needed.

Where did you buy the fuse wire from,? Google keeps bringing me to small cardboard packets with a few windings on it

I got it from Ebay. It arrived on a tiny bobbin, but there's loads on there as its so thin. I'll look out the seller link.;)

This one. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/153223224929. I chose it because it is rated at 100A, had a separate charge input, and was cheap.
